THANKS to all the extremely nice and helpful staff throughout, we had a great stay at this lovely Hotel. Food in restaurant is fab - only downside was undercooked breakfast on day 2 - did not complain as everything else was exceptional. Would definitely go back again. GREAT OFFER

I booked a family weekend here in July. From the time we arrived the staff were outstanding. The room was spotless clean, spacious and airy. The hotel is situated in a great location making it very convenient for getting to various tourist attractions. The food and service in the restaurant and bar were excellent and the front office team really wonderful. During our stay our daughter had an accident over on Spike Island, she required surgery, which meant we had to extend our stay. The Management and staff in the Hotel went out of their way to accommodate us. We were totally stressed over our little girl. The hotel just took over, extending our booking, leaving us in the same room, even though they were extremely busy and needed that room. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The customer service at the Blarney Woolen Mills Hotel is simply impeccable. They went above and beyond where customer service was concerned and we are sincerely grateful to them. the Staff are a credit to the Irish Hospitality Industry. Thank you to the wonderful Team at the hotel Book this wonderful hotel you will not be disappointed.

An absolute pleasureable and relaxing stay in a very friendly and accommodating well ran hotel in the blarney woolen Mills hotel. We as a family of two adults and three young children loved it and really felt like time stood still during our stay . The food was as equally pleasing as it was beautifully tastefull. We will definitely look forward to returning to the scenic surroundings of blarney that this hotel plays a key role in providing. Thank-you for a beautifull stay. Keith Westmeath

we were pleasantly surprised by the Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel. There is a very spacious entrance lobby/seating area downstairs . Bedrooms are one first and second floor, are spacious and clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the Meadows and Byrne restaurant. a choice of cereal, fresh fruit , fruit salad (not Fresh) and yoghurt and then a nice selection of hot breakfast. these are huge . Sausages and rashers are delicious and one of the nicest tasting that we have had in any hotel!! The staff in the hotel and Meadows and Byrne restaurant are lovely, friendly and helpful. We ordered the sunday lunch in the meadows and byrne restaurant . This consisted of a cooked chicken , veg, ( carrot and turnip mashed and cabbage , which were delicious) mashed potato and gravy. You are given the food and carving knives and basically you serve yourself. There was loads of food . It would be plenty for family 4/5. all for €30. We also went another evening to Christys bar lounge. Unfortunately, we will not be returning there! staff and food just average!! Next to the hotel is the Woollen Mills shop. the largest Irish shop in the world! I would also recommend a trip to Blarney Castle and Gardens. There are fantastic walks . you could easily spend a whole day here!!

Very clean. Warm and friendly staff. Convient for a base for travelling around Cork if you don't want to stay in the city. On bus route to Cork City.

We stayed here for 1 night with our 2 children aged 7 & 12. The hotel lobby was gorgeous absolutely 5 star, our room however I feel was very dated. When we arrived there was only 1 double & 1 single bed I rang reception & this was rectified with a cot bed been put in our already small room, there wasn't room to swing a cat. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Blarney is a beautiful village everything within walking distance . If we were to return I would definitely ask for a bigger room.

Bessy scored 2 / 5 on 14/07/2015

Rooms are out dated, the adjoining restaurant floor was very dirty, TV was very loud as we were dining (9pm), service was poor - food was good though

We stayed for 1 night got a great rate through bargain breaks €49.50 pp for b&b & dinner, I chose this hotel as the reviews were great, however i think this hotel is somewhat over rated. our room was no.200 and it had to 2 broken window panes, cobwebs on the light, lots of dust on the skirting boards , peeling paint and peeling wallpaper , i think they need to employ a better cleaning staff. or maybe we got the bad room as we got a good price ?! The bed was comfy & spotless as was the bathroom . The other reviews stated great food, for us it was pretty average, We ate in Christies bar and the staff here were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, and the desert was fab! At breakfast i wanted egg, rasher mushroom and toast (not a demanding breakfast).... but they were not doing mushrooms that morning! Staff here were very slow in serving and not very friendly, even though it was quiet with only 3 tables being used it took ages for our breakfast to arrive, toast came about 5 minutes after the food! This hotel is in a great spot and has fabulous potential if they buck up on the bedroom cleaning and maintenance , We loved the ambeince of the place and the old fashioned decor........tourists will love it!

My husband, two children and myself stayed in The Blarney Woolen Mills Hotel last Sunday evening. The rooms were pleasant but somewhat dated. They were very clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very very good. A brilliant choice of food. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for money.

We recently spent a night at Blarney Wollen Mills Hotel (our third visit-speaks for itself) - it was our wedding anniversary and just mentioned it at time of booking. It was a lovely surprise when we checked in and were told that we got the best room in the hotel - when we got to the room, we discovered to our delight that we were given the Presidential Suite!!! The food in this hotel is brilliant the breakfasts are exceptional - all freshly cooked, nothing left lying there trays getting colder by the minute. The staff are all extremely friendly. Strongly recommend this hotel.

Many thanks for a wonderful stay in your hotel (11 January 2014). Your receptionist was friendly and accommodating on our arrival, and took time to include our eight year old son in conversation. We loved the decor and vintage accessories throughout the hotel, and felt a connection with the past. Although our room lacked the traditional decor, it was comfortable and roomy for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was beautiful and served with friendly, smiling staff. The wall screening during breakfast of the old days' quest for lamp oil was wonderful and gave us much to talk about. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would love to have stayed for much longer. I think a little vintage decor carried into the rooms would make this hotel more authentic with its surroundings. The only decor in our room was a beautiful print of the castle, wasted on a side wall and out of view. Placed in a more prominent location in the room would lift and create more warmth in the room. You have a beautiful hotel and your attention to detail is superb. Other more expensive rooms/suites probably have decor of equal quality, but I would love to see some of that imagination go into every room. Kind regards, the Callaghan family, Co. Donegal.

I had a lovely stay here. Food was great. The only complaint was we were staying in a room at the front of the hotel and there was a fan going all night outside our window which was a bit noisy.

Dorene scored 4 / 5 on 13/05/2013

This hotel was a real find for us!! There were 9 of us in total staying in the hotel ranging in age from mid 50's to early 20's and this hotel was ideal. The only negative was that the decor of the lobby was a bit dated. However everything else about the hotel made up for that because the bedrooms were large, very clean and spotless. We had lunch in Christy's pub and we all agreed that it was good, wholesome food, freshly made and very reasonably priced. The shop was really busy and it was a pleasure to stroll around. The location was ideal because we could go out in Cork City at night and stroll around the Blarney Castle grounds by day. The hotel staff were superb and when I asked them to arrange transport for us to Cork City, their reply was "consider it done". Nothing was a problem for them. We all really enjoyed our stay and everyone was delighted with the hotel, the location and the ambiance. We would definitely go back again!

Hotel is old but nice. Beds were very comfortable. I would not like to stay in winter as the windows were all fogged up in the morning with condensation. Hotel needs updating but obviously we got good value with our LIdl break. The breakfast was lovely in the Mill Cafe/Restaurant but did not enjoy the dinner in Christy's bar. Keating Family stayed May bank holiday week end.

well where do i start, well i suppose at reception.I went to check in with my wife and child girl on desk was very helpful and nice, she went through the booking ref as proceedure , now she said there was bit of a problem with the presidential suite as it only had a rather large queen size double bed and no single bed so they put in a fold up bed for my son which was fantastic as i only booked a standard family room, my wife and i though she was joking with us as i only requested the suite if it wasnt been used, now to our disbelief they gave us the room and boy what a room it was huge with lovely furnishings and a very large bathe room, walk in wardrobe and a complete suite of furniture absolutely beautiful, well a big thanks to blarney wollen mills for a lovely weekend, food drink presidential suite very happy customer from duleek and many thanks to the lovely receptionist thanks again.... the karate group duleek...

Just back from a three night bed and breakfast stay at this hotel. Girl at check-in desk was really friendly and the reception/seating area was very impressive. This hotel has a country house feel to it which I really liked and because it was an old woollen mill has a lovely rustic exterior to it. I loved the arched windows and the exposed brickwork. The bedroom was cosy and bed very comfortable with a clean bathroom with a lovely deep bath which filled really quickly. Breakfast was good too. This hotel is beside Blarney Castle which has lovely walks, gardens etc. The hotel is in the little village of Blarney which has a small selection of pubs and eating places. The Blarney Woollen Mills shop is beside the hotel too. Would return here again for an autumn or spring breeak as I believe it can get quite hectic in high season.

Any time I have stayed in your Hotel I was very pleased with everything; On 30th October we had booked dinner bed & /breakfast, we were having a meal in the Mill Restaurant, I handed in the dinner voucher when ordering our meal; As my husband was leaving the Restaurant a employee [who I think was the supervisor] followed him and accused him of not paying for meal, he explained he had a meal voucher which was handed in , she did went on to says above two people who had not paid for meals; I found the whole matter very unprofessional , and embarrassing , to be accosted in a public area, and had not the courtesy to apologise ;

The hotel was ok, quite old could do with updating, the room was very warm with only two little windows to open, not enough with four people sleeping in it for three nights it got very stuffy! The service in the meadows and byrne restaurant where you go for breakfast was terrible. No table settings and the staff were extremely slow and unhelpful.

Had a great weekend in the hotel, the mill restaurant was excellent value and the food was great, service in the hotel was good and the rooms were clean although the windows were pretty dirty, one thing that could be improved is the service in Christys bar, it was very very slow, altogether a very nice stay though and would return again but don't go to Christys if you're thirsty !!
