Good location. Staff were very nice
Excellent hotel food in the Croft lovely enjoyed leisure centre would stay again
Excellent hotel food in the Croft lovely enjoyed leisure centre would stay again
I booked this hotel last minute for one night. It was excellent value. The room had been done up and was nicely decorated. The lighting was good: bedside lamps and there was a desk chair for lunch. The bathroom was tiny, but newly done up and all was ???? clean. The only tiny thing was a bottle of water in the room would have been great on arrival. It is very near the motorway so convenient for travel. Unbeatable value
Great view of the city from our 4th floor room. We came for the leisure centre, which was excellent. The hotel has been refurbished recently and was very smart throughout. Friendly staff and nice Sunday roast in the bar. Would recommend.
Lovely hotel. Nice comfortable room and lovely bar food. A very kind porter came to fix our television
My 50th wedding anniversary, manager was extremely helpful in organizing our stay. Ramona was excellent in looking after us as well as the bar manager. Room was beautiful very happy with our stay and staff were excellent highly recommend
The pool was amazing, staff where friendly and the food was unreall, definitely will be staying again
Okay hotel could do with some modernisation the rooms smell like damp! The breakfast was good with lovely friendly staff. A bit all over the place from were our room was.
Easy get too, lots of parking, very nice food and nice bar. Very good leisure centre also.
Wonderful experience, swimming pool was very nice also!
The hotel was disappointing. I didn't get a good sleep because of an extremely loud dripping noise. Up until this point; the experience was good. Aside from standing at reception for 15 minutes being processed; The room was clean and what you would expect. The food was up to a high standard, and the service in the restaurant was warm and friendly. The experience was ruined by the loud dripping noise, which left me exhausted the next day.
All staff were very professional and welcoming at reception and at breakfast which was excellent, plenty of choice , traditional Irish and cheeses and cold cuts etc . The hotel is a short bus or taxi journey into the city or airport.
Beautiful Hotel and perfectly located for my trip., would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The pool is ideal for young too older children as well as mum and dad, it is a lovely facility to use just to unwind at the end of a busy day.
I had a wonderful, relaxing stay, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were great, special Mention for Teresa who served breakfast. That Lady will leave you with a smile on your face for the rest of the day. A diamond.
Always stay here because of the leisure suite and the food and handiness to The Mater hospital
Lovely hotel & friendly, helpful staff. Was a joy to stay and will be back.
Room was cold but we got a heater. Breakfast was good and the ladies were lovely.
When arrived couldn’t find my booking on the system took around 15 minutes standing there was told pool was closing at 7 was a maze to the pool to be told you have to go back to the reception and go out the main doors walk in the other entrance then to be brought back the same way , then actually got to the pool was told we had a half hour even doh was told closed at 7 wore told to get out at 6:45 then during the night was just constant noise people up and down 4 am chatting loudly 8 am someone knocking on the door 11 am someone just walking into the room then when I went down for breakfast I was told I’m not on the list to eat sent back and forward up to the reception both days sent around the building like a dummy to be told oh we have on the system you checked out at 5 am last night ?? Was just a disaster went for a relaxing night away 38 weeks pregnant and was just sent all over the building wouldn’t recommend
Really enjoyed my stay, everything was very clean and staff very friendly. A group of us had a meal in McGettigans, great food and service.
It was a present from my father. Welcome was great leisure centre was good and relaxing Breakfast was very good
Brilliant stay from the moment we booked in to the day we booked out. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Kristi who copied out a map on how to get from the hotel to the Mater Hospital on the bus it was well appreciated thanks
Lovely hotel very clean and friendly professional staff
Fantastic fabulous hotel very beautiful a great break away
Lovely staff Excellent leisure facilities
I got a wuiet room so I could work in the evenings. Breakfast was very good and food in both the Croft excellent. Best of all is the spacious gym and leisure centre. Lovely relaxing sauna in the evening ??
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food good. So near city centre and also to Dublin airport. Will visit again soon.
New towels needed
I emailed and asked for a city few if possible as i never been in Dublin before but got a view of a wall its like they never read my mail or hadn't available which they could have told me for that reason i didn't complain at the desk but did mention it so if your emailing with your booking i would not bother
Good service. Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous view of Dublin. Really good breakfast. Loads of linen. The only complaint I have was no room service.
Wasn't impressed that we couldn't use pool changing rooms! Had to go back to room in lift dripping wrapped in a towel. Room wasn't very clean stains on walls and noisy plumbing! Impressed with restaurant service and meal was fab !
OK for a stop over hotel, staff were lovely but could have done with a better clean there were cobwebs along the ceiling, we ate in the croft restaurant wasn't great was only ok
Customer service was exceptional, Joe in the bar went above & beyond to help us. The hotel was clean, central & the food was fabulous. We will definitely go again
The hotel was very clean and the family room was a great size. The breakfast was really good and the staff were more than helpful. It was very quiet at night time and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay here again
Very poor experience. On initial check in the door card was not activated which meant us waiting a further 30 minutes for this to be sorted out. When we arrived in the first room (family) the window was broken and wide open. Not ideal when you are staying with 2 small children who could easily climb up and fall from a substantial height. After another wait we were transferred to a room with no window which was extremely warm and only aided with a fan which recirculated warm air. Pool does not supply towels and advised to use towels from room when only 2 were provided? No COVID precautions in dining room at breakfast with self service on offer. Would not recommend.
Very central location. Clean and felt safe from a Covid point of view. Extremely friendly staff.
Fantastic location and hotel had everything u would need.
We arrived for my daughters 8th birthday had a good night didn't think this hotel is a 4 star hotel though.. pool was great think it made the trip of the hotel food was good in bar restaurant.. only 25mins from tayto park which was main reason for trip ???? staff friendly enough although I booked bed and breakfast and for some reason I had to pay breakfast? Bit strange and false advertising!
Great food very nice staff very helpfull ,lovely bar restraunt good atmosphere nice pool kids enjoyed that will stay again
On arrival to hotel we had travelled approx 2 hrs and we needed showers, there were no towels in room and one shower gel between a family room, asked chambermaid for towels but no joy and then asked at reception, They left one large towel and a small hand towel. Barman on 1st night was rude. Breakfast was a disaster cold and worst breakfast I ever had in a hotel, it was cold and not tasty. Second night in hotel was better film for children and food in bar was amazing and barstaff couldnt be nicer, swimming pool and facilities were fab, good value for money considering bad start, could do with modernising room carpet had a big rip in it.
Really enjoyed one night stay at Regency Hotel. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Would love to have turned off heating as room was very warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast also. Well done.
Really disappointed with the Regency hotel. The hotel is really run down and looks like it hasn't been modernised or updated in a very long time. The rooms are old fashioned and the carpets don't look very clean. The view from our room was terrible -looking out at dirty old pipes. The rooms do not have irons - instead the hotel has an ironing "room" which is basically an old room (also with dirty carpet) an ironing board in which the cover doesn't fit and an iron. Breakfast was probably the worst breakfast I have had in a hotel (the other 5 guests in our party agreed with this) - nothing tasted good, the sausages and bacon tasted funny and the black and white pudding where gooey and salty. There was no fresh fruit available - only tinned fruit in large bowls. Definitely would not recommend staying here and wont be visiting again.
Lovely hotel , friendly staff , room was big and view was amazing at night time .
We had a lovely stay, the room was spacious, spotless clean, tea/coffee making facilities, The staff were very helpful, the location was fine, their are buses to the city, and taxi to Heuston Station 15 EURO Patrick
We enjoyed this hotel, its in a great location close tot he city and the M1. We had a lovely curry in the bar on the evening of our stay. I would suggest maybe some kind of a discount for guests using the carpark. Good hotel, will def book again.
The hotel itself was fine but when we arrived they had no record of our booking and it took about 15 minutes to sort this problem out. The receptionist sad that our booking had not been recorded on their system but it was in a back office computer. The room was nice but at 3.30am the fire alarm went off scaring the life out of us! It went off again at 10am.the receptionist said it was due to steam from the showers.(Can't imagine too many people having a shower at 3.30am!)The breakfast was lovely and the pool very relaxing. Was a bit surprised at having to pay extra for parking the car there at night. Overall a nice stay. Were just happy to get a nights break from the kids!!
My friend & I stayed in the Regency Hotel last week. The hotel was first class, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and overall we had a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend it.
good leisure facilities. Parking €8 per night. pleasant stay. handy for buses into city
Bedrooms fine. Breakfast poor. Hotel convenient to city centre and airport. Nice pool.
Friendly helpful staff, small basic room, very clean but due to the hotel being fully booked, long queues for breakfast.
Not impressed with room. Very old fashioned, curtains hanging, phone in room not working,,dirt and crumbs under bed. Leisure centre and pool was nice for children. Certainly wont be returning.
We enjoyed our stay here very much, clean comfortable rooms, good food, friendly staff and a very central place to stay. Looking forward to another stay in the very near future.Id definately recommend this hotel
I enjoyed my visit to Dublin. The Regency is reliable for good service and comfortable accomadation.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff , safe car park and lovely food. It is my first choice when staying in Dublin.
We had an excellent 1 night stay in the Recency Hotel last Saturday.I highly recommend this hotel and it is great value for money using Lidl breaks. Room was lovely. The staff were great. We food we ate in the bar was excellent -value and taste. The waiter very friendly and helpful, esp. to the children. We did pay €6 for 24hour parking but I knew this in advance. The leisure centre is very good, I loved the massage fountain. If I had to find fault there was a cracked tile in the bathroom-but nothing major. Thank you very much
The Regency hotel is ideally located in Dublin city. The staff are very friendly. Excellent food in the bar. Leisure centre is very clean. Lovely venue to enjoy a break.
Jim McCreight, Belfast We found the staff very friendly, rooms were fine and the breakfast was great, apart from the lengthy queue on Sunday morning.....lots of people gave up but we persevered and got into the restaurant. Unfortunately we couldn't get a restaurant booking for our party of 14 for Saturday night which is what we required and we all had to either dine at different times or some actually ate in the bar...which wasn't as good as the restaurant. Great location and value for money....will definitely be back.
Easily the worst night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. It all started so well...my sisters and I booked a triple and we were delightfully surprised as our room looked like a honeymoon suite - superking bed, 2 tv's, large bathroom with jacuzzi bath, power shower and lounge area with view over Dublin to the hills - beautiful. (Only one bed and towels for 2 though so we called reception and a small fold away bed was produced - comfortable enough). Shortly after check-in a knock on our door revealed a member of staff who asked if we would prefer a different room with 3 single beds. He took us on a long hike to the 5th floor via lift, staircase and miles of corridors to show us a smaller room, with view of internal roof of the hotel. It was a no-brainer, our room was much nicer so we elected to stay put. Warning bells started to ring when we heard the hotel was fully booked and there was a Christmas show on that evening. Our neighbours arrived at 6pm and put on music that was loud enough to have a party in our own room, they also smoked. At dinner we were delighted that the "vegeterine" option on the menu was "glutton" free (wish I had kept a copy of that!). By the time we headed for bed later in the evening the Christmas Party show was on full swing, we manged to fall asleep lulled by the throbbing bass undertones but were rudely awakened at 2:30am by the announcer wishing everyone a goodnight. At 3:15 we were even more rudely awakened by our neighbours returning to continue their party in their room. They switched on their music and their vocal chords to full effect. We and the people staying on the other side called reception who kindly sent a gentleman to deal with the 'ladies'. By 5:45 the exhausted man finally broke up the party. Admittedly, the hotel cannot be blamed for the type of people who choose to stay there but I feel their measures of eviction could be more immediate. Also, they need to advise guests who wish to actually get an early night and a sleep to not stay there (close proximity to airport means likelihood of early departure and need for rest). Sadly, we couldn't use the fancy bath as the plug would not stay down so the water ran out, the shower was blocked so the water would not go down, the power function panel in the shower didn't work, the bathroom was freezing as the heated towel rail didn't work, the main tv had no signal but we could at least watch the small one in the cupboard. We wished we had taken the smaller room on the 5th floor. The best part of the stay was undoubtedly the lovely friendly staff, from reception to dinner staff, they were all fantastic but make sure you ask them before you book whether there will be a show that night.
We stayed here for 2 nights. On arrival we had to wait half hour as our room wasn't ready, which meant hanging around the hotel with 2 tired kids after a 4hour drive at 3.30pm in the afternoon. I had asked to be put in the new side of the hotel to find out it wasn't available even thou I had booked a month in advance. Our room was very basic and really old, the sockets were hanging off the wall and I'd to request towels, we had our dinner that night which was basic and cold when it reached out table I asked for salad dressing which never arrived and was left with a plate of lettuce and a blob of apple sauce, , the kids were starving their chicken nuggets were like rocks. The following morning we queued for half an hour outside the dining room to get seated for breakfast which was ok, I mean toast and tea and cereal isn't that hard. However the swimming pool is great and the staff in the leisure centre were lovely unlike the hotel staff. I personally wouldn't recommend this hotel to people staying with family's and to top off the stay I have to pay for parking.
Friendly staff, great location, Good value for bed & breakfast, Excellent leisure centre. Room located on 5th floor - difficult to find as lift only went to 4th floor and I had to negociate a number of corridors to get to my room. Overall though a very enjoyable experience
During my stay at the regency hotel I was given a fantastic room and the service was very nice. All staff was very pleasant. Entertainment was very funny and enjoyable I would recommend the regency to friends and family
Enjoyed our stay at the hotel - room was spacious and clean. Really enjoyed the leisure centre - The kids loved it - water was lovely and warm and the shower were hot. changing rooms clean and warm. Staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely. Only problem was the fold up bed we got (as we were a family of four) was terrible and won't expect anyone to sleep on it. We had to put our beds together to sleep the four of us. Would definately return.
Yes very satisfied customer friendly will go back
Lovely time at hotel, rooms bit dated but clean, food Exceptional, over all great deal
We had a really nice stay, would recommend this hotel
enjoyed my stay at the regency been there before the staff are lovely rooms ate spotless could do with up dating the pool is great kids love it as i said been there before and will go again jackie from skerries
Excellent break, hotel has an excellent location. Staff, ambience and facilities are excellent. Excellent value for money. We will definately be back again.,
I went with two of my friends on friday eve, they actually got to arrive early and went to the pool but spent most of the time in the jacuzzi lucky them. We had our facials at 5 o clock in the spa they use dermalogica the treatment rooms were spacious and the therapists were so lovely great atmosphere felt so relaxed. We had our dinner at 7. The restaurant staff I think were easily the best I have come across in dublin in a long time a real natural friendliess the 3 of us commented on it. The food was yummy couldnt finish it I had the prawns in filo pastry for a starter, and the duck for my main, and strawberry meringue for desert mmmmm..... We were in a triple room and it was lovely apparently the hotel is after been refurbished in the last couple of years and we were in the new section> Breakfast was everything you would expect I was a bit sceptical about it from reading the other reviews but i have to say I was not disappointed and would recommend it to my friends and the waived the car park charge ;-) Margaret (Mayo)
Excellent hotel with friendly staff.
Everything about the Regency was great except for the bedroom - it was joined on to another so we heard every sound next door made which was very unpleasant and the noise from other guests throughout the night (down the hall) was completely unacceptable so we didn't get a good night sleep but I can't fault anything else.
We stayed in the Regency Hotel on Sat 30th October, the hotel bar and reception lobby were very nice and welcoming. We and another couple who also booked there break through Lidl, stayed on the 4th floor, we were in a rush out to meet other friends so did not look too closely at the room. Although we did think the room was very very dated and worn looking. when we got back to our room later in the night we had more time to take in the room and we were not happy. The bed had a dip in it, the carpet was so worn in places that it was worn down to the threads, the pull over blankets were stained and the blanket between the sheet and bed cover was very old, the bathroom was also old and dated the shower curtain did not smell very healthy. We also later found out that friends of our booked a room in the hotel through another online company and had a lovely new room on the 1st floor. they had payed only %u20AC69 for there nights stay. The breakfast the next morning was very good as was the bar food the previous evening. i was very disapointed as this was a treat for ourselves as a newly maried couple. I wont be booking a lidl break again if these are the type of rooms that are available for Lidl break bookings.
it was ok room adequete but room door not hung properly and this reported to reception at checkout breakfast ok 6 out of 10
Lidl breaks are excellent value for money. The Regecy hotel was nice and well located. Only downside was the %u20AC20 carpark charge for 2 nights.
Well pleased with the hotel but bit disappointed with the restricted menu for Lidel Dinner. Next time will book B&B only. Pleasent surprise when checking out was that the 30 euro carpark charge was waived. Good value for money Ricky, Roscommon
