Was checked in fairly quickly No information at desk or in room concerning breakfast times /Wi-Fi information As there was a wedding party in the reception area at the time we got the impression we were in the way at this particular time This was not the kind of welcome we were expecting as I had booked 7 rooms for a social gathering of 14 people

Paul scored 2 / 5 on 26/08/2023

Only one chance to make a first impression. Ordered food when we arrived but only got half. Both breakfasts the food was cold.

Great location, lovely staff. Added bonus of singers in bar at night for July/ August which we were not expecting. We had a nice room with sea view

Stayed at The Park to celebrate my daughters birthday, reception & bar staff were very helpful & friendly, would especially like to mention the lady who checked us in, a hard working lady that made our stay special. We used the pool on one occasion & it was very pleasant. Food very good in the bar & breakfast area. Lift not available to area our rooms were in. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed for two nights. The receptionist whose name Ive forgotten was brilliant. She is from the area nd her knowledge was a wonderful help. She arranged a bike delivery for my wife/ Bike man Garvan was amazing too. WE were very impressed with the hotel. staff and food. The Greenway is first class too, surface is as smooth as a table top, and the signs and KM markers were super. We will go back come the spring. Mick Brennan,

We found the Park Hotel very comfortable with helpful and friendly staff. Stayed for two nights during the November mid-term break. Room was warm, fresh and very clean. This was our third trip to this hotel, however pool and gym area could do with a makeover. We had breakfast and dinner each night and food throughout was excellent. Dungarvan itself is a quaint town and well worth a visit. Clonea beach is only a 10 minute drive with Tramore around 45 minutes from the hotel.

Receptionist did not give eye contact on arrival. Room was not cleaned and I was moved to a different room which was clean. Door needs painting. Food fab and bar staff so professional and friendly. A credit to them. Location fab. Would have loved front view. A fresh lick of paint would do wonders But definitely be back!

We stayed for 2 nights, the food was very good, the room very nice & comfortable, the location great & the staff very friendly & helpful. The bar area however was very grotty & dirty. The seats were all well worn & the tables looked like they hadn't been cleaned for days.

A great hotel, staff and food, everything you need from a hotel. Handy for the town and nice surroundings and a good leisure centre.

Gillian scored 3 / 5 on 17/07/2016

The Hotel itself was great very friendly staff, reception , bar area, foyer, bedrooms, food lovely. The pool was a major let down , very disappointed to see white chairs with a area of the pool corned off due to broken tiles, rusty handlebars in the shower cubicle, black ceilings definitely needs a make over

Nanny scored 5 / 5 on 16/07/2016

Had a great stay in Park Hotel. Booked 2 connecting rooms, grandparents in one and family of four in other room. Rooms spacious and beds very comfortable. Staff very helpful and food lovely. All ages catered for, kids club, leisure centre, music every night in bar and nice seating areas. Would recommend and hope to return.

Eleanor scored 5 / 5 on 10/07/2016

Fab hotel with lovely settings. Bar staff outstanding and deserve recognition from management for it but it should rub off to reception. They are the first people that guests meet and they were chatting to each other while guests were there. That is your only downfall. Room big and very clean. Leisure Centre lovely. Nice bar menu. Breakfast good selection. Be definitely back in the near future

We had a very comfortable night at The Park Hotel. Rooms were nice and quiet and spacious. This was our second trip to this hotel and it has a nice old fashioned family feel about it. Breakfast was good, with plenty on offer. Dungarvan itself is a quaint town with quite a few good spots for dining. If I was in the area I would return to this hotel.

Nice enough hotel for the value. Could smell smoke in the corridors and stale smoke in our room. Breakfast was okay. Leisure center was okay too.

Clare scored 4 / 5 on 20/02/2016

We had a lovely stay .Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The bed was the most comfortable I ever slept in. We didn't use the leisure facilities but did like what we saw of it. The room was tastily furnished and decorated but a bit small. Everything was clean and tea and coffee facilities in bedroom was very welcome. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and breakfast was very nice too.

Arrived to hear swimming pool was closed at 5-7 which was disappointing but we went down anyway to find it was FREEZING! Bedrooms werent overly warm either, asked could we reserve a table in bar for dinner to be told we couldnt but when we arrived down we found a table reserved for another group, had our food which was disappointing in the lobby, after reading reviews we thought this was a great hotel but it wasnt what we expected

Nice hotel rooms needed up dating our Bath had a big rusty bit in it where the paint had come off. Shower was to hot and you couldn't really set it low or Water power went down. Their was no fan in Bathroom wen you had a shower I Felt like i was smothering. Their was some one else's hair in the plug hole. In our room was a door Leading out to next room where it had never Been plastered over, you could hear every thing next door. Room was fearly clean. Apart from that the staff where friendly and the food was fab we had our evening meal and It was just fab! My partner is still talking about the beef was delichious compliments to the chef. Kids club was good too.

Vinnie scored 4 / 5 on 29/08/2015

If you have kids, this is the ideal place to go with kids pool and club, two playgrounds and shopping within ten minutes walk. Staff are very child friendly and food and entertainment in the bar seven nights a week.

I would definitely rate The Park Hotel with 5* , this was our second time staying at The Park Hotel, and both my children and myself would gladly go back and stay there again in a heartbeat, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, and it is an ideal Hotel for Families, I have stayed in 5* plus Hotels and didn't experience the same hospitality as we did on both time,s we stayed at The Park Hotel, I would recommend this Hotel to anyone,

I booked a one night stay for myself and my husband with this hotel. When booking I asked if we could have a room with a balcony as it was our anniversary and we would like to be able to have a drink on the balcony. The lovely lady on reception phone me back that afternoon to confirm that this was booked for me. On arrival at the hotel the same lady greeted us she could not have been more pleasant or helpful. In fact all of the staff at the hotel in every area were so helpful and friendly we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was lovely, big and clean and everything you could need. Dinner was lovely and on desert a they then surprised us with an extra desert a pavlova with Happy Anniversary written on it, what a lovely thing to do. The leisure center is also lovely and we really enjoyed it. We had a lovely stay and I would not hesitate in staying here or recommending it to friends and family again.

Unusual to discover no lift facilities in old part of hotel, steep stairs - however, no problem changing rooms to ground floor. Rooms nice - all facilities available. Hotel nice. Food mediocre. Nothing specifically memorable.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is very well set up for families. Our daughters loved the kids club which was a great time of 5.30pm to 9.30pm and included dinner for only €4. Well located with plenty to do in the vicinity

Very comfortable hotel with great facilities. The beds are great and the showers have excellent water pressure. The pool and facilities were also very looked after with friendly staff. There was a wide selection at breakfast, including fresh local strawberries, a great touch in addition to the usual breakfast staples. I would definitely stay again.

This is our second time in the Park hotel in Dungarvan and I have to say we enjoyed our stay it is like a home from home. the room is lovely and having been in France and London hotels recently the room was first class comfortable, we would have given our stay five out of five but the internet reception was poor but apart from that everything was great and the staff were lovely and friendly especially at breakfast time and at dinner

The booking with Booking Bargain Breaks was very efficient. I made a mistake and after one email they told me how to Sort out the booking and Credit Card details and it was sorted in one go. We arrived at the Park to a very friendly Receptionist who had our booking all ready and we had a beautiful room within 5 minutes of arriving. The room was large spotless and a good size bathroom. The only problem it was a bit warm that night but the weather forecast was for snow so maybe the hotel were just taking no chances. The lesisue centre was relaxing, Our dinner was included in our break and it was first rate the food and choice was suberb and the staff courteous and helpful. We got an excellent breakfast the following morning and again the service was top class and friendly. This was one of the nicest stays I had in a hotel and was mad to feel so welcome and comfortable. I shall be returning again.

We had a very nice stay at the Dungarvan Park Hotel on Thurs. 24th July. The attention to detail was excellent, and as we had a family room it was very spacious on the ground floor., check in, meal and all the staff were 1st class. We booked through todayfm breaks and it was great value for money. The location of the hotel is just outskirts of Dungarvan and walking into town. I would recommend The Park Hotel Dungarvan as a place to stay.. We will return to this hotel again.

We stayed at the Park Hotel, Dungarvan for one night. Arriving at lunch time on Sunday. We had lunch in the hotel. It was fine, nothing fancy. The lounge area where we ate was dated and dark. The upholstery, both curtains and seat covers badly needed to be replaced. The fittings on the blinds are unsafe for small children as they were not attached to the wall. I was some what amused to find the ladies toilet facilities rather good, bright and fresh and had a beautiful crystal chandelier. (This beautiful light fitting I would have placed in a public area.) The bedroom was very nice. Very clean, bright and fresh. The leisure center we used on the Sun evening. It has quite a lot of issues. Broken lockers, grubby and in need of quite of a lot of TLC. We had dinner in the dining room that evening. Same veg. as were served for lunch and by the taste of them had been cooked since lunch time, particularly the potatoes, not good, the salmon however was lovely. All of the staff were lovely, pleasant and smartly dressed.

Good value for money for two nights. The hotel staff were really nice & friendly, also very helpful when needed. The gentleman on reception was a lovely person who engaged with us in such a friendly manner. the hotel itself was generally clean but needs a lot of updating and looked a bit worn. The room we were in was fine the beds were crisp and it was clean. The bathroom door needed a clean & repaint. The bar food was not great and we did not enjoy eating there. However the restaurant food was better and the staff were attentive. The kids club was a winner with our older son. It was great they also took kids from the age 3 so the youngest got a taster & we got a little break! The pool was nice and seemed well managed. Would not go back unless it has an updating.

Myself and my husband stayed in the Park hotel recently , we found the check in was efficient but not very welcoming, our room was clean and comfortable enough , we booked a twin room and we had a single bed and king sized bed in the room this wasn`t a problem although i thought the single bed particlarly was a bit high. When we were going into our room when we arrived there were a lot of young lads who seemed to be with a foot ball team on our floor and they were extremly , noisy, banging room doors and running up and down the corridor bouncing a foot ball , these lads were about 14 or 15 years old. needless to say we wern`t happy about this . we went down to the bar to get something to eat ,it was quite busy with a lot of children running around, we ordered tea for two and got menues, when we had decided what we wanted , we couldn`t get any one to take our order for a bout 15 mins so we paid for the tea and left, to get something to eat in Dungarvan. Not being very impressed so far , i went to the girl on reception and told her about the noisy footballers and asked if they had another room available there was only 1 room left that hadnt been checked in to yet so we looked at it , didnt really like it so we decided to stay in the one we had.the receptionst assured us that she would speak to the person /s in charge of the team . The next morning from about 6 40 am. all we heard was room doors banging as the football team seemed to be checking out. That night we went down to the bar and ordered food and they apoligisd for the poor service the night before, which was accepted, our food came and it was really nice ,i got a chicken cibatta with chips etc. and my husband got salmon , we both were plesantly surprised and enjoyed our food. The breakfast was ok on both mornings but queing up for toast , cereal, juice is ridiculas my husband used the swimming pool three or four times and although he thought it was adequate, he thought the pool was very dated. A BIG GRIPE I HAVE WITH THIS HOTEL IS THE VERY NOISY ROOM DOORS , and people seem to have NO consideration for other guests , as people were banging doors at midnight and later and also early in the morning. My second gripe is the lack of supervision of CHILDREN IN THE BAR, especially after 10 pm and later , parents seemed to only come in with their children later on in the night and they just ran around all over the bar and the reception area as if they were in a playground, Over all i would NOT be inclined to stay at this hotel again.

The menu was not very extensive but the steaks were cooked to perfection and very tender. Basically I would go back there again.

Wonderful hotel. Very pleasant and accomodating staff. Food was absolutely excellent and dinner both evenings was superb.Kids club staff were really friendly and nice. Only negative was that the kids club could do with a little updating and with turning up the heat. Hotel in general could do with some moderate upgrading but overall an excellent service provided- rooms were spotless and meals superb all at an outstanding price. Dungarvan is a beautiful town to explore with so many scenic drives and beaches on your doorstep. Will definetlly be back.

We recently stayed for 2 nights, staff friendly room excellent, and the meal for Confirmation on Tuesday was great and very child friendly. Energy consumption could be reduced by greater use of low energy bulbs in rooms and bar and restaurant area we will book again next time we visit daughter in Stradbally .

The hotel is nice and clean. The staff could not do enough to help you during your stay. Polite and friendly. The only thing that let it down for me was the food. It was not what I expected. The lack of choice in the evening meal, and it did not taste too good either, it did seem rather hit and miss. I did order through room service though. The breakfast was great, the scrambled eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The bed was not as hard as I would have liked. But that is down to personal preference. All in All I did enjoy my stay but I will not be getting the evening meal option when I go back.

Hotel needs to be updated. Lesure centre - only 4 white garden chairs in the steam room which was tight. Sauna room very small too. Decor in bedrooms and bathrooms needs to be updated - Wall tiles scraping off. However, the food was very good for breakfast and dinner.

I had a lovely weekend break in this hotel with my husband, sister & brother-in-law. The staff were very attentive. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The food was superb and plentiful. On hearing that a vegetarian dinner was required for one of us a tasty dish was specially prepared. This was the second time for me to stay here and it won't be the last!

I had a very enjoyable overnight with dinner and breakfast at the Park Hotel in Dungarvan. Everything was spot on. My only critism was that the bedroom was too hot and I couldn't access the radiator control switch. Dinner was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Excellent leisure facilities and a very nice room. The bar was busy and there was a good atmosphere. Dungarvan is a beautiful town and convenient to all amenities.

We arrived at the Park Hotel and checked in at receiption, the receipionist was very pleasent and went to our room the room was nice, but at the front of the Hotel if we were to return we would ask to stay at the rear as road traffic is heavy, we went to the bar ordered a drink, we asked to see the menu, ordered our food, the young girl that served us our food which was very good, but when she returned to clear our plates she never asked if we would like dersert, tea/coffee. On the second night of our stay we had booked dinner, we received our starter within 5 minutes but had to wait for over 50 minutes for our main course, we also had to ask to see the wine list as this was not offered to us, the staff did apologise for the long delay, it was very busy, when we went to pay our bill the young lady asked the manager if she could give us a discont on our wine for the long delay we had for our main course this request was refused, we have stayed in the Park Hotel in Killkenny found the staff more firendly, we also eat very often at The Old Ground Hotel staff and food at the Old Ground are brill.

Stayed here one night as it is a dog friendly hotel. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. There was a wedding on and some of the younger bar staff could have done with more training. One gave us a leaking tea pot which burnt my sisters hand. Rooms were well furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was quite nice if standard. That said we will never be going back. Didn't get a wink of sleep as the kids attending the wedding were left run wild till after three am and kept running into and out of rooms slamming doors as they did so. Whatever about parental supervision there was no staff on hand to bring the high jinks to an end. As a busy wedding hotel I fear this is a regular occurrance. The design of the room doors being heavy and without closing dampers only added to the problem. The most disappointing thing however has to be the total lack of follow up by management to the two complaint cards completed by myself and my sister pointing out the problem which was encountered by both rooms. We keep hearing about the need to stay at home and frequent our own hotels but when they don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge, apologise, let alone make a gesture on the room cost, for where the service is lacking you wonder why should you. Management need to seriously raise their standard of customer services.

Stayed here in July and had a great time. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Family room spacious and very comfortable. Excellent kiddies club in the evening, would definitely stay here again. Food lovely and good choice of food, were able to enjoy dinner while children were entertained in the kiddies club - children had the option of eating dinner with other children in the kiddies club.

Had enjoyable 1-night stay in The Park. Room very comfortable but a bit hot at night. Had meal in bar on Saturday night which was good value for money. Breakfast ok but dining room is a bit dull. Staff all very friendly and helpful. This is a very busy hotel - they cater for a lot of weddings. Went on Lidl break - which was good value - €42 less per room than rate quoted by hotel.

Stayed one night in this Hotel. 2 Adults and one child (18 months). We went predominatly for the leisure centre and my son loves swimming. On the Bank Holiday monday morning my wife, my son and I went down for a swim before breakfast at 8am and we were told that the swimming pool didn't open until 9am. This was fine we had breakfast and came back at 9am and we were told that Gym members had access only until 10am. Hotel guests could only use it after 10am. We had walked by reception twice with my son dressed in his swimming gear and the receptionist didn't inform us of this rule. Needless to say we didnt hang around till 10 am. We were very dissapointed. On check out when asked "how was your stay?". I informed the receptionist of our disapointment about the opening hours of the swimming pool. She just said well it is a bank holiday weekend and it does clearly say it in the brochure. I found this very patronising!!! Yes it is a Bank Holiday weekend. Isn't this the time people come and stay with you??? The swimming pool itself was very old fashioned. The baby pool is extremely basic and the steam room consists of 6 white patio chairs in a tiny tiled room. The sauna seats 3 people and as for the Jacuzzi there is very little pressure in it. Overall the room was nice and comfortable, The breakfast was satisfactory but the big let down was the leisure centre. Especially the opening times. SW

IF YOU ONLY WANT A ROOM YES BUT IF YOU WAN FOOD TOO DONT GO HERE.......- i am just back from staying in the park Hotel. it was very central and everything was within walking distance. the staff on arrival were fab and i put in a request for a room with a veiw which i got. The rooms were spacious and clean.. BUT THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE...... AND IF YOU ARE A VEGETARIAN STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL........ on the first nite at the hotel i asked for vegatarian option in the bar food menue and the usual stir fry (very imatinIitive???) so i opted for two starters served as a main course - mushrooms and a potatoe cake - only to find after nearly eating the potatoe cake there was ham in it ( which was not written on the menue) and after leaving the rest of the dinner there, i was issued a bill for the meal less the so called potatoe cake??? All dressed up for a nice meal the following night to celebrate my partners birthday in the main dining room, i was told all that you will be offered is the usual omelete/stir fry for a main course .... eventually i got a plate of plain pasta (no vegs of any description in it or any sauce)and a brasil dressing to the side with the usual little plate of veg to the side - the chef really used his/her talents to create this dish????!!!!!! - and this is suppose to be a 3 star hotel - and on that same night my partner (a meat eater) got leg of lamb and it was RAW which the manager agreed with too.... After calling the Manager to show him, we were interegated by both his and the waitress at our table in front of the fellow guests (trying to justify the RAW meat and pate of pasta) and spoken to in a very rude way by the waitress we were very embarrassed and we had enough by then and we finally got up and left the hotel to get some food in dungarvan town. it really ruined the whole weekend for us...on talking to others and telling them about our food(or lack of it)ordeal some had been there for lunch and had been dissapointed with it as well...... it is such a shame as the staff in all the other areas of the hotel very nice.......WENT HOME VERY DISSAPOINTED AND ANGRY - INSTEAD OF FEELING DE-STRESSED AND PAMPERED!!!

Stayed in the park hotel for just one nights bed & breakfast, had stayed here before. This hotel is ideally located to explore Dungarvan which in itself is a very nice friendly town to visit with some lovely restaurants such as the Tannery. The hotel itself is nice clean comfortable, not a place i would go for a relaxing break but ideal as a base if you drive and can explore different places such as Adare to visit the Cliff House Hotel fablous place to see. Breakfast in the hotel this time around was disappointing breakfast buffet not good no orange juice poor selection of fruit only tinned stuff available. My cooked breakfast was dissappointing as bacon was burned to a crisp. Overall as I stated this Hotel is a great location its seems to be always busy with conferences and local business lunches, Ideal to use as a base but not necessarly for a quiet relaxing break. Thats just my opinion.

Arrived on a Sunday evening after a long drive from Donegal for a four day break in dungarvan. We were greeted pleasantly by one of the reception staff you went through everything with us. She pointed us in the direction of our room which is situated in the original building overlooking the estatury. However it was up a staircase with no lift. The room was quite spaceous, but in real need of painting. The walls were very badly marked, the wall beside the toilet was even drawn on with a pencil. There was a huge water stain on the ceiling. We were so tired we said it will do as the beds were really comfortable. When I opened the window the frame inside was filty and full of spider sacs, really needed a good clean. We had a sandwich that evening, which was fine. There was music that evening (as every evening) in the hotel, which was very enjoyable and children were welcome. However, I didnt avail of it as we had a three year old with us who went to sleep early were evening. The bedrooms were very very warm and when you opened the windows which had no child security latches, you could hear other guests outside smoking, which was very annoying as it would go on late into the evening. I must state that the room was clean otherwise, complimentary toileteries and plenty of towels, Tea/Coffee facility, flat screen tv. Breakfast was OK. I am pregnant and asked for HARD boiled eggs for my breakfast and it came out to me twice soft and ever undercooked. So i made do with cereal, & toast. I spoke to a lady on reception and she had the matter recifitied the next morning and I received my eggs HARD boiled. The next morning I had a sausage and I tasted like it was re-heated in the mircowave, it was terrible. The swimming pool was nice, a bit run down, again needing alot of work. It was one of the first hotel pools who offered a loan of arm bands and swimming hats to their clients, which was nice. There was also a kids club which we didnt avail off. The grounds where lovely. Excellent location from Dungarvan town (walking distance). To be honest I dont think we will stay there again if we were to visit Dungarvan.

Upon arriving at hotel i was informed that the hotel was over booked and that my family could not stay with them. They had made arragements for us to stay in a different hotel which was by the beach. There was no way we could stay with them. I had not been informed of this before my arrival and we had already unloaded the car and the children. We were told we could still have dinner with The park hotel and they would give us a bottle of wine for causing the inconvienence. We arrived at the other hotel 15 mins later and were appalled with the hotel, it was in the middle of a caravan park, and the room was awful, it was small, dark and the small window did now open, the bathroom was in serious need of updating. I would not sit on the bed never mind lie on it. My kids wanted to know what they had done wrong to end up there. We had taken 3 days holidays, spent two in cork which was lovely and were stopping in Dungarvan on the way home. I called the park hotel back again and they told me there was nothing they could do, they offered me a voucher to stay with them another time which i refused. Twenty minutes later i decided that i could not stay in the hotel they put us in and was going to check out and head home. I rang the park again to let them know we were checking out, to which they answered to give them two minutes that they thought they had a room. five minutes later they called to say they had a room and were getting it ready for me. We arrived back to the Park Hotel, the receptionist was lovely very apologetic and helpful but not a sign of a manager. Our room was ready at 7.30. We got a bottle of wine for our inconvienence, a bottle which we could not choose ourselves. When we checked out there was still no manager around to apologise. Although the hotel seemed very nice, it completely ruined our holiday and i lost half a day of it. Certainly would not reccomend it.

We booked in to the hotel on the 16th July. My husband was celebrating his 70th Birthday on the 17th July and it was a family week-end break. The bathrooms and rooms were very clean with complimentary shower gels etc and tea making facilities. So far so good. We booked our dinner for 8.30 pm. On arrival at the dining room we found it empty apart from 2 occupied tables. There was no atmosphere, ambience or effort to instil same. Discreet background music would not have been unwelcome and might have drowned out the sound of our cutlery. If tumbleweed had blown across the dining room floor it would not have surprised us. Meal was acceptable and a vegetarian choice was available. Although entertainment is mentioned on web site for some peculiar reason it does not happen on a Saturday night but does on a Sunday night! Week-end breaks usually include Saturday night rather than a Sunday night. We went into town for our evening entertainment and spent our money outside the hotel when we would have preferred to have remained in the hotel. In this time of recession it is understood that hotels are finding it difficult to generate income but more attention could be paid to the atmosphere of this hotel in order to incur repeat bookings.

The hotel looks a bit drab on the outside and could do with a coat of paint. However, once we went inside I found the staff from the receptionist to the bar staff, cleaning staff etc to be the best I have ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble and the manager on duty was very diligent and on top of everything. This all made for a lovely homely atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel for families as there is a swimming pool and it is a very child friendly hotel. The food was excellent and it was nice to have breakfast served instead of having to queue at a carvery. It was great value for money and I intend to go back. Better than a lot of 4 star hotels I have stayed in.

Nice Hotel, We had booked a table for dinner in restaurant but when we entered, a waiter looked very under pressure and didnt even ask our name but pointed to tables instead. It wasn't a very comfortable setting to be seated as it was beside door into kitchen area and waiters were running past frequently throughout our meal. Room was nice, food and reception sevice very good. Would return but would like it noted when table booked and perhaps a better seating area given the fact that we had pre booked a table early in day and would have expected a better service.

The best feature of this Hotel is its proximity to the town of Dungarvan. It is a medium sized hotel which could do with some refurbishment, but is fine for the many families with young kids that appear to be its target customer. The bar is quite lively at night and the staff are plentiful and largely friendly and efficient. Main negative is the small size of the bedrooms specifically in the older part of the complex.

my family and i stayed in your hotel last week. on arrival we were told that we would have to pay a supplement of %u20AC25 per night for our third child. unfortunately we had been misled by the booking form as when you check the box for number of children, it only allows 2. my children are aged 9, 6 and 4. the two older children shared a bed and we shared our with our 4 year old. we were offered an extra single bed, but there wouldnt have been room for one anyway. although we enjoyed our mini-break (which is our annual holiday for this year), it took the good out of the original bargain price of %u20AC210 having to pay an extra %u20AC75 to share our bed - we get more luxury at home!

We booked 4DDB. It is always a joy to return to this hotel where we've stayed several times before. First and foremost the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We were able to relax fully here in beautiful surroundings. Our family group consisted of all ages. We were all very happy with our meals which were excellent. For a small supplement we were able to upgrade to a four-course meal in the evenings, The children had a fantastic time at the Kids Club which was free of charge. We all enjoyed the leisure centre. The pool is airy and the sun shone in on us. The whirlpool was very relaxing for the adults while the children played with all the toys in the kids pool. The changing areas were very clean. We were also very pleased with our spacious and well maintained rooms. This modern part of the hotel is very tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The staff provided us with blankets as we found the duvets too warm in the good weather. The bathroom was spacious, with a power shower and 'smellies' to help us relax. We'd be happy to return in the future.

The hotel is beautifully situated on well kept grounds with picturesque views of the river estuary and Comeragh Mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and lobby area are tastefully decorated and welcoming. Unfortunately our room was dated and the bathroom was in serious need of a makeover the toilet was cracked and a poorly sited oversized sink partially obstructed access to the toilet. The room and restaurant were only superficially clean with black cob webs hanging from light fittings, curtain rails and corners. There was a musty damp smell in the corridor leading to our room and also in our room, It is hardly surprising as the paint was blistering on the corridor walls with dampness.
