Rooms spacious though too warm, hot water, soft towels but a flicking fire alarm light over bed, staff were pleasant but food mediocre - dinner had portions cold, overcooked in parts and goats cheese tart- too sweet! Breakfast - usual fare of fried Irish breakfast and cereal- very little other option Overall price was good but wouldn’t dine there again

Friendly check in staff. Hotel currently undergoing upgrading of rooms but this did not affect our stay. Room beautifully decorated, comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was delicious. All staff very welcoming. Yes I will be returning to killarney heights hotel and would recommend.

Myself and my partner stayed the night celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. The hotel overall was spotless clean. Friendly staff. The food was some of the nicest I have tasted so many compliments to the chef! We will definitely be back!

The hotel was clean and the staff were attentive and pleasant. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Smart tv in the room which was great. However the room was extremely hot the heating was on full blast when we entered the room and no air conditioning which made our stay very uncomfortable. Food at the hotel is very expensive for the standard of food we received the steak sandwich was not edible as it was grisly and unpleasant. The Breakfast at the hotel was nice lots of options available.

Nice quiet hotel very well kept. Breakfast was average had my daughter with me no option of pancakes. Bedrooms were lovely Netflix and u tube on TV was great for my teenage daughter. Only a short walk to town centre.

Great location, staff were really friendly and food was delicious. Only fault was the plugs at the bedside weren't working although they did provide an extension lead which had to trail across the room. This wasn't ideal for using the bathroom during the night as I stepped on it ????

A fantastic hotel,from the minute we walked through the door until the day we left it was just so relaxing,we were greeted by a most beautiful helpful lady in reception who just couldn’t do enough for us,sorry I don’t remember her name.the room was lovely and cosy,with everything we needed,we would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel, john

Reception was great, welcome brilliant . Room for the price was perfect, comfortable etc , safe, tv, shower etc all very clean . We had evening dinner in hotel and food was spot on. Great service again and food was very good. Only reason I knocking 1 star off was breakfast, we booked 9.15 am , the food id say was cooked since first thing, rashers , sausages etc and scrambled egg was cold... maybe an idea in low season to cook it in stages? But all in all great hotel for the money and great welcome.

Very pleasant hotel, warm and comfortable rooms. Very close to supermarket and shopping centre and also back to Ballycasheen road leading to Muckross road, and avoiding centre of Killarney and traffic.

Stay was great receptionest was very welcoming. The only issue was service in the restaurant as it was slow at times. Menu didn't have many options as well. The room hadn't been serviced properly before we arrived as previous guests sock was found in the beside cabinet. Overall it was a nice hotel to stay in.

The cleanliness of this room fell short of our expectation in that there were cobwebs in the bedroom and bathroom, as well as dirt in the toilet seat and nearly empty soap and shampoo containers. The room also failed to meet COVID guidelines as it was not sealed prior to our entry. Our breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly.

Hotel was spotless. stayed in a family room which was perfect for the 4 of us. Had a drink in the bar which was also spotless. Staff from reception, bar and breakfast were extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety. Good location. We'll be back.

Hotel itself is lovely. Excellent breakfast with great staff. A bit of a let down when radiator in bathroom didn't work, which made bedroom cold also, it was a cold November night about 0'. The Manager on duty did try to but failed to get it fixed. Room was near double doors which I heard shut everytime somebody used them so constantly slamming all night. Did pass this on to front line staff in morning and girl on duty was lovely and knew about radiator from previous night but man on front desk not so, rather gruff and said 'what more do you want me to do but apologise' and that was all but maybe a little lighter in his delivering of it would have been better.

I was disappointed with my stay in this hotel. We stayed in a ground floor room, there was constant noise from 6:30am with staff moving trolleys etc pass our window. Also, my girlfriend asked twice for a hairdryer that worked. She was reassured after the second time that one would be delivered to her but unfortunately it wasn't in the end. Luckily I got deal for my stay in the hotel as otherwise we would have been very disappointed.

Had very enjoyable overnight stay in Heights Hotel. Meal which we had in the bar was excellent. Bed room big and comfortable. Good breakfast was served in bar area and spilled into the restaurant area as tables filled up, we were forgotten at our table, much better service last time we stayed and were served in breakfast room. Would hope to return though.

Very enjoyable stay in family room over night. Room comfortable, had evening meal which was very enjoyable, got good service from waiter Joey. Breakfast was also good but service left alot to be desired, served in bar (previous stay we were served in breakfast room) and I think we were forgotten in little alcoves away from main group. I would return though, enjoyable stay.

Had last minute plan and decided to stay overnight in the heights hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room, welcoming staff and absolutely great food! We ate in the bar and the fish and chips were the tastiest ever! Substantial breakfast rounded off a very nice stay.

Stayed over-night Saturday night at the Heights Hotel. Received a warm welcome, rooms were spotless, on second floor nice and quiet. There was an Irish Convention taking place and a group of people dressed up, known locally I understand as "The Biddys". Nice and lively, very entertaining so well done. We had dinner in the restaurent and we were served my Miguel who was most pleasant, very efficient and an asset to the Heights Hotel. Top marks also to Mr Chef, food was beautifully cooked and very tasty. Breakfast the following morning could not be faulted. We enjoyed our stay at the Heights and look forward to returning in the not too distant future. Thanks to all for making our week-end most enjoyable,

Pros: Location is superb for touring the sights around Killarney and easy to find from the main road. The hotel was good value for money. Lovely stony exterior of the hotel in the authentic West of Ireland style. The interiors are done in a charming country manor style with authentic antique furniture pieces dotted here and there. Great décor of the bar and restaurants with exposed stone walls, fireplaces, traditional Irish dressers and dark wooden beams on the ceiling. Spacious and clean family room with a bath and a shower in the bathroom. Good quality beds. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Good hearty breakfast. Ample parking outside the hotel. Cons: The décor of the room slightly dated. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom though it was clean. There were only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels supplied in the bathroom while the room was booked for 2 adults and 1 child. Toilet could not be flushed unless the cover was down, otherwise it was in the way. The view from the room was onto the big puddle on the roof of the lower storey. The duvets were totally inadequate for the hot room (way too hot) and the sheets were not available as a cover option. And last but not least, the famous West of Ireland hospitality did not quite manifest itself in this hotel. The only exception was the staff at breakfast on the 2nd of November who were all friendly, helpful and smiling, asking if we'd like a cup of tea,etc. All the others were either aloofly polite or just ignoring us. It took us about 30 minutes to get served tea at breakfast on the 3rd of November. Last year we stayed in Quality Hotel right across the road from the Heights Hotel and the staff there were way friendlier and more helpful.

This was an amazing offer, nearly too good to be true. Fabulous value!! Hotel was just lovely, very clean rooms and lovely views over the mountain ranges, really nice bar and restaurant (meal was very impressive for a two course offer), loads and loads of little nooks and crannys to sit down and relax downstairs, staff were so lovely in Reception, Restaurant and Night Porter lovely fella. Only downfall for us were the male staff in the Bar, no welcome and didn't listen to the orders, hence wrong drink and forgot desert for one person and we had to ask for cutlery. Only hiccup but didn't ruin what was a fabulous stay. We will be back.

Location: not a 10 mins walk to the town center, its 2 miles. Jogging maybe. Facility: Standard enough, no gym or pool, wall is very thin. Was waken by the crazy banging from next door, lucky it only lasted about 90 seconds. Staff: friendly and helpful, like the accent. Breakfast: Decent. Overall: will visit again as reasonable price.

Stayed in the Heights for three nights over Easter Weekend 2013. Couldn't find fault with anything. Room was very comfortable and warm which was important because it was a very cold weekend. Very good atmosphere and the food was lovely. Definitely will be back and will recommend to friends.

Cons: There was no WiFi available in the hotel and there was a problem with 3G connection in the room. They changed the restaurant where they served a breakfast in a middle of our stay. The menu was very simple and limited. The bathroom was poorly stocked with just a soap. The instant coffee in the room was horrible. Instead of a window there were only balcony door and all the passing people could look into your room if the curtains were open. The lady in the reception was not able to provide information about the local attractions. The hotel is not really close to the town centre, it is actually quite a distance. I would not recommend this hotel if you want to stay a lot inside. The room seemed quite dark, even with all the lights on. The room was definitely too small for a 2+2 family. Pros: The staff was really nice, especially in the restaurants and the bar. Meals were simple but quite good and tasty. The hotel was quiet. The price was very good. It can be a hotel if you plan to travel around Kerry and spend a lot of time outside and just come back for a night rest and only for a short stay.

Really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and in Killarney itself. The staff were very welcoming and ensured our stay was enjoyable. Had a problem with the room we were originally booked into but within minutes we had a new room offered and was just as good. Staff couldn't be praised enough, food was great too in the bar and for breakfast.

Stayed in the Heights Hotel Killarney on the 4th of March 2013. The rooms were standard and very clean. The staff were great - very friendly. Had a lovely meal as part of DBB deal- it was delicious - starter, main course, tea or coffee - more than we could eat. A drink or two in the bar then which had few customers being a Monday night but still a good atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely also - great variety of yogurts, fresh fruit, cereals & cooked breakfast. Quick service which suited us as we were heading to a business meeting. Would recommend it!

We were so lucky to get this hotel break for New Years Eve night! And what a fantastic night we had! Excellent meal, friendly helpful staff. Most comfortable room and the hotel is immaculate. We had live music on the night, platters of finger food were handed out to each table and glasses of champaigne were supplied to toast in the new year! We will definately be back and would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was very nice, new conservatory is fabulous, staff very friendly, dinner lovely, and made a special effort to have a different vegetarian option for each night. Will be back.

happy with staying and personal....as young family with 2 kids 5 and 2 y old we got nice specious room with 4 beds what was a bit distance from rest of the rooms what you really appricate if you r parent of young child. Fully recommened it

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Heights Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. A little bit far out of town but a taxi back at the end of the night was just €7 so overall was excellent value for money for dinner, bed & breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for one night in a family room. Excellent value. Evening meal was really lovely,breakfast the usual buffet fare. staff very helpful. Rooms could do with a makeover but were very clean. Overall a wonderful break and would go back again. Quaint hotel 15 mins walk outside Killarney town.

The Killarney Heights Hotel Killarney, Ireland. On the 31st January 2012, three friends and I availed of a Lidl Dinner, B/B in this hotel. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, food excellent and the staff were friendly and provide a great service plus entertainment was provded in the bar. Thanks Lidl and Killarney Heights Hotel for allowing us to have a relaxing stress free and great value for money break.

We stayed for one night recently on the dinner, bed and breakfast break. What fantastic value, the hotel is lovely, rooms a bit old fashioned but brilliant for a three star hotel. The bar is lovely and cosy with great open fire. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. I will definelty go back. Anita

we love this hotel. the staff is all amazing. all so nice polite. they upgraded us to bog family double room. always accomadating. food is fantastic and reasonable. rates really good. really great for families. rooms large clean and the staff always help with any request. we go every year with our 3 young children and we love it and look forward to our next stay.

Only stayed one night in the Heights but really enjoyed our stay. Room, food, staff all excellent. Only draw back was that it isnt easy walking distance to town but thats not a big deal. Would recommend it for good value enjoyable break.

We had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed three nights with breadkfast and dinner included in the price. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The food was deliciious. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I was disappointed with my stay as we did not get dinner as the electricity was gone out. It was beyond the hotel's control . Just hard luck. The breakfast was very nice.

We stayed in the Heights Hotel for two nights and we really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meal was first class. We have availed of the Lidl breaks on a number of occasions and would gladly return to the Heights Hotel. PS - would love to see a return of the Lidl golf breaks!!

We stayed two nights at the Heights Hotel, Killarney and enjoyed it very much. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel on both days. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was tasty & very good value, and the service was quick. The room was fairly basic but had everything that you would need for an overnight stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and would definitely stay there again.

We booked though the Lidl Breaks website and got amazing Value for money! Room, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast for two all for under %u20AC100! Staff we're so friendly! The Dinner was absolutely gorgeous, great selection and amazing food! Breakfast was fantastic! A Buffet with so many options, from Fruit, Juices, Cereals to Full Irish Breakfast, we ate enough to last us for the day!!! Room was very clean, modern and comfortable! Will definitely be back, and would recommend to anyone!!!

Lovely hotel, about a 20 minute walk from main street - but on a good main road with footpaths. Lovely food in hotel, but the evening restaurant was part of the bar the evening we ate there. Staff very friendly, would recommend. Linda- Dublin

We stayed for two nights mid-week at the Heights Hotel and were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. We look forward to staying there again and would recommend it to any of our friends. The Lidl offer is the best hotel value available at the moment.

Me and my 8 friends stayed in the heights hotel for 1 night on a saturday.The staff were nice and friendly and the rooms were lovely really clean and spacious.We also had a 2 course meal included it was delicious and everyone had more than enough!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We found the staff very friendly and were very accommadating. The food was excellent and very reasonable. Having spent some time searching for breaks on the internet I found Lidl breaks to be the best value for money, I have used them before and will certainly be using them again.

we had a lovely break in the Heights Hotel killarney. WE got a lovely welcome when we arrived. the room was a good size room overlooking the mountains. the dinner was very good plenty of choice. . the waitress was great she came back to see did we want more. we will come back here again. It was great value with the lidl breaks. we enjoyed the break.

Just back from two night stay celebrating wedding anniversary. Had very relaxing and comfortable stay. Staff excellent, especially receptionist who greeted us on arrival. Hotel was nice and clean,beds soft and comfy.Shower was powerful and bathroom was lovely and warm; didnt eat there so cant comment on that.Could be a better variety of channels on tv,was woken up by neighbours dogs that persisted to bark for over an hour which was annoying so my overall rating is 3 out of 5

We stayed at this hotel for 2 night. The first night was very noisy. We could hear what seemed to be water being carted around in wheelie bins and so much shouting between the staff who were under pressure to have water for the bar. I understand that the water supply had been cut off to all hotels and private dwellings in KIllarney on that night so the need to keep water underneath our bedroom window was not the fault of the hotel. A little more consideration would have been nice. The room and the hotel were very clean and the shower was wonderful!

This break away was a fantastic deal. The room allocated to myself, my husband and two children was fantastic. Very large bright room with lots of space. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Will definitely go back again.

What a wonderful hotel, receptionist was an absolute star!! our booking got lost in the system and she made had it all sorted out for us in just a few minutes, room was beautiful clean and spacious. Dinner was excellent. I woulkd recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to killarney. having booked with lidl breaks it gave my husband and I a lovely night away for 98 euro!!! with three kids those times alone together are precious and with value for money and a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff and accomodation what more could you for.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Heights Hotel. I went for a girly night with my daughter, my mother, my sister and her two girls. We ate a delicious meal there after arriving and later on we spent a couple of hours in the bar where my mother met two old friends also from Co Clare. Enjoyed our breakfast next morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Lidl breaks are wonderful value. Booking is so easy and what was very thoughtful, the hotel gave us adjoining rooms so we had plenty of space. Thanks to Lidl and the Heights Hotel for a lovely bonding family time.

Many thanks for a wonderful break. Our rooms were perfect with interconnecting door as requested. The rooms were clean and very well kept. We had food in all three areas provided in the hotel and we tremendously enjoyed the meals. We do hope to return next month and stay with you again. Staff were very obliging and so interested in pleasing the guests.I have recommended the hotel to my friends already.
