This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the view from the room was idyllic. It was great to have entertainment every evening. I've stayed here a number of times and will definitely be back.

Great location. Friendly staff and comfortable room. Good value. Only minus is the bathroom fans can be loud and we could hear our neighbors during the night.

We had a very good break in the Yeats Country. The check-in was fine and the room was very good. Most of the hotel has been refurbished lately and the rooms we have stayed are very comfortable. This is our 4th visit in 16 months. The only negetive is the Wi-Fi in the furthest rooms from the reception area is poor. The meals from the bar menu are very good and plentyful and staff serving were helpful. Hope to reurn soon.

I stayed for two nights, the hotel is old yes, but it is priced accordingly, but the rooms are huge, the heat was on, the place was clean, and the breakfast was very nice and the staff Brilliant. I personally highly recommend it and would go back in the morning!!! 5 stars for me!! MARCELLA Monaghan

hotel was great.room was clean and comfortable location 5 min walk to the beach. had evening meal in the bar.very good. decor is old style but classy sat on the big comfy sofas in front of the fire. the bar has vast amount of wine, would recommend buying a bottle v individual glasses. requested ice bucket with our wine bar had none. breakfast was excellent. staff very friendly

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at your hotel. We requested a room with a sea view and got a lovely room with a view. Thank you! Hotel is being refurbished which is much needed to update the decor. We found everywhere very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful at reception and dining room. Breakfast was good but our meal in the bar on Sat night wasn't good. We didn't enjoy it at al. Sharing starter followed by beef stew which was more like cooked roast beef added to veg and gravy and lamb cutlets were in soggy breadcrumbs, again not tasty. Other than the meal, we had a lovely stay, great location and would return for another visit.

Alecia scored 4 / 5 on 12/09/2017

Just back from an overnight in Yeats Hotel. The location of this hotel, so close to the beach and the local bars is ideal. The pool was well enjoyed by the 2 children and the breakfasts were perfect also. The staff are very nice and although the hotel itself may seem a bit dated it wouldn't concern me greatly. The bedrooms are very generous in size and the views are wonderful. Third visit and most definitely not my last .

Great location, good family hotel Stayed for 1 night as part of a Wild Atlantic Way road trip. The hotel was quite busy, our room had a lovely sea view on the third floor, it was clean, large, and the bed was very comfortable. We had one evening meal and one breakfast, both were quite good. Entertainment was good on the Saturday night, 4 piece band. The Bar in which it is held is windowless, and get pretty stuffy and hot. There are two bars, the one the band was in was without any beers on draught with the bar staff having to go to the other bar to get draught beer which was a little annoying and left the bar without a barperson for several minutes. The staff encountered were all good, especially the dining and Bar staff. The hotel is well used, and the public rooms, bars, reception are quite dated, 1970's style, but there is a great happy atmosphere in this hotel. It's a large Hotel located at Rosses Point with a caravan park and the beach closeby, 5 minute walk.

We enjoyed out stay and the value was excellent. two small things to point out. Reception staff should lift their heads and acknowledge guests. On a few occasions I issued a greeting and was totally ignored. In fact I had to drag conversation out of the reception staff and then they became engaged. Dinner in the main restaurant was anything on a bed of mash. Some change in presentation could have been better. In saying all that it was a pleasant stay and will go back

Had a lovely night in the Years Country Hotel. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in for quite a while. The food was lovely but at breakfast I had to search for cereal bowls and glasses. When we went to the hot food buffet there was no items left they were replenished and all was well in the end.

The scored 3 / 5 on 28/03/2016

The hotel staff were very friendly, our room was a good size for the family of four. A double bed, single and a sofa bed. The view out of the window of Rosses Point was great too. We brought the children to the pool and there's two small pools they had fun in. I got a few lengths in myself. They have a jacuzzi and sauna the steam room was out of order. Food was ok, as it was included in the room price I didn't mind. If I'd been paying separately I'd been disappointed. The hotel has a certain charm about it, but could do with a freshen up, the beds and furniture could be replaced. But as I was getting a deal for the night it served us well. I'd actually recommend it to my parents as they like the beach and it's just down the road. The rooms are on the flat and what you need when staying there is all provided. We'll be back.

Rosemary scored 3 / 5 on 23/02/2016

Ideally suited to it's surroundings. Fabulous views and good facilities.I was our 3rd stay and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They were very efficient at both Reception and in the Restaurant. A special mention here for Brian the bar manager who is world class at what he does. The food was excellent with good sized portions and presented well. The Leisure Centre and pool were good with the exception of many broken lockers in the Ladies changing area. The Public areas of the hotel were warm and inviting, with open fires but no protective fire screens. Our room on the ground floor was spacious and well appointed if a little jaded but they are revamping that area so I look forward to seeing the finished refurbishments. The double bed is the best I've slept in ever. Little things are letting this hotel down, such as worn carpets, rips and pulled treads on curtains and bed covers. If you want a good off season hotel this is it, there was music, bingo and dancing during our stay. Don't book in school break time unless you like dozens of children whizzing around. I would definitely recommend it and will stay again.

Sinead scored 3 / 5 on 31/12/2015

We had a lovely stay here, the hotel and our room especially was warm and cosy and comfortable. The dining room was cold on the evening we had dinner though. Staff were very helpful and friendly overall. Although I did leave something at the hotel, and when I called about it the next day I left my number and was told I would recieve a call back. They did not return my call which I thought was very poor customer service. For this reason, and the cold dining room for dinner, I am giving it 3 stars

Our family had a wonderful break at Yeats Country hotel and spa. Nice location, beautiful views, just a minute walk to a beach, plenty to do on the rainy days- swimming pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, kids club, spa offering a very good packages. A wondefull service by the staff. Thank you!

The hotel is badly in need of a revamp. There was a disgusting sewrage smell coming from our bathroom. Area to the left of the reception is nice with comfy couches and lovely open fire. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, very basic

Aisling scored 3 / 5 on 10/11/2015

The Hotel was very out dated, rips on the carpet, furniture that needs painted etc. The meal was lovely, couldn't fault it. when we went into the swimming pool the changing rooms didn't have private area.'s to dress and the toilets where so disgusting, not to mention the freezing Jacuzzi. And no locks on the lockers. The night time entertainment was very good and the bar man who was working that night was great. The reception staff was cheeky not to myself but the person who was checking out before me. I would not recommend the hotel to any one

Stayed for 2 nights on 30 October 2015 for Halloween, 2 adults and 1 child. Have stayed here before and highly recommend it. Received a warm welcome on arrival. Our 6 year old daughter loved the kids club and I found the staff in the club to be really great with her, as she has no siblings to play with it it's a great way for her to get to know the other children there. I felt really safe letting her go for the swim in the mornings as the staff were very attentive and kept the children well-supervised. Room lovely- spacious with a wonderful view. Food was lovely , the breakfast was plentiful and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back

Just back from the most wonderful two day break in the yeats country hotel. Myself, my husband and 7 year old son stayed. From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated so so well. It was wet outside and the fires were on everywhere, so cosy. We booked a family room and we were so pleased with how large it was with a beautiful couch and a sea view. My son joined the kids club every morning and evening and he loved it and made so many friends and the club leaders went over and above with every child to make their stay memorable, thank you to the guys and wonderful lady , so professional. We ate in the diningroom and had your lovely fishcakes and plaice, i can still taste how good they were and the staff were so good to my son who is a poor eater and they were encouraging him with funny stories. We also ate in the bar and the food was also outstanding and such big portions with a lovely atmostphere and great staff who were so attentive. It was so relaxing to sit with our drinks beside the fire in the evening and meet many different nationalities. We had such a wonderful break and even though there were loads of children on halloween holidays, it was really quiet. I used the gym and pool aswell, and the staff were excellent and so so nice and helpful. We will definitely be retuning to this outstanding hotel again and again, a real jewel.

We stayed 2 nights with 2 kids age 11, 6. On first impression the rooms and decor throughout are dated, however we had a relaxing stay and would return simply because kids had such fun in the Swimming Pool. FYI. The rooms are large. In our room the heat could not be switched off as no thermostat. We had a view of sea and swim pool. There was a musty smell from the old couch. The kettle had limescale residue. The bathroom was clean. The beds were comfortable enough. I heard they have a new wing which would be worth enquiring about. The pool area was warm and clean. The kids club had activities from breakfast until 10pm. Arts and crafts, Fun in the pool, outdoor activities (weather permitting) and Movie nights. I think the play ground could do with some attention. In the pool changing rooms there was only one ceiling light in ladies shower ceiling for six cubicle showers so everyone tended to use the same shower because of the darkness. Parts of the ceiling needs fixed but areas were very clean and warm. Jacuzzi is quite small. Kids complained because they not allowed in pool until 9am and no later than 6pm but that is reasonable if there are private members. We ate bar food. Kids food could be improved on. Soup was lovely. Main Roast of Day was excellent. Bar staff friendly. Kids club staff friendly. Restaurant staff helpful. Breakfast hot food could be improved in terms of quality but all available was edible and hot. Good choice cereals for kids e.g. coco pops, rice krispies, weetabix etc. My kids didn't like the black pudding. Overcooked and cheap, sausages too spicy and not good quality. If you stay on Lidl break you pay 5e extra per child for breakfast. Make sure you get a receipt on check in. I paid cash got no receipt and was asked for another 10e on departure. Out of four receptionists I met, there was only one lady who was in good humour. The rest need upskilling in their roles and customer service. I never tried the spa.

I give most people the benefit of the doubt, however I left leaving this hotel wishing I spent an extra €100 and going somewhere decent. Good points: - Spa baths were nice - Austies bar and restaurant very nice - Barmen friendly Bad points: - Receptionist rude, give poor impression, (English accent). other receptionists were nice - View was of a skip and bottle bank. Really do get what you pay for :-( - Food was like a production line. Food was out within 5 min or ordering. was good tho - Requested iron off reception, got an iron with so much dust in it, it wasn't used in years. Mark on the Iron damaged my clothes - Place generally run down, could do with major upgrade

Great weekend at a wonderful location. The spa treatments were excellent value and the pool/sauna/steam room was excellent. A very busy hotel with several golf parties and lots of families. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Altogether a very positive experience.

We had a weekend break at Yeat's Hotel in Rosses Point. The Staff were excellent the only thing that I think needs to be changed is the carpet in the bedrooms and the hallways needs to replaced with tiles. Also having to go outside to gain access to the swimming pool was a very annoying and cold experience.

We stayed 2 nights at the YCH, in a family room, beautiful view Hotel was lovely, staff were excellent & very helpful, food was lovely also Leisure centre was excellent & again staff very friendly & helpful there Spa also highly recommended! Only comment is the play area in the hotel only opens from July on which we were not aware of and a playground would be a huge addition to the area for small children

The room it self was spotless it was a family room double bed + 1 single + small camp bed) , my parents came as well with my 2 nieces and there room only had the double and single bed so we had to request the camp bed after we checked into the room.. we were told that all rooms were standard but we saw a few rooms and they had 2 double beds in them... bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. Food was lovely and the staff were lovely and helpful. The pool was great and heated. We would stay here again

We booked two night stay with Today FM Breaks for two adults and two children aged five and six We thoroughly enjoyed the everything about the stay, the food, staff and old charm of the hotel and lobby areas We had excellent service in the restaurant for evening meal (particularly helpful with the children's meals) and breakfast Also very friendly advice on other dining options locally, we ate in Austie's on Monday night which was very good too. The music in Candles bar on Sunday and Monday night was easy listening and enjoyable We had the pool to ourselves on Monday afternoon, excellent. A really enjoyable break and we will definitely be back, thank you.

There was people got served there main before us that didn't order till after us. there was while terrible smell off fags in the hall way to the our room and the room also smelled off fags..won't be back again!!

The Jacuzzi and showers were freezing both days we stayed. Staff told us it would be fixed but it wasn't and the hotel management were not even aware of this. The leisure centre is in another detached building and there is no lighting between the two buildings. There was no control over the heating in the room, there was no thermostat, we had to leave the windows open and that wasn't ideal. The toilet in the room would not flush, the TV remote did not work and the kettle was broken and we had to call reception twice to get another one. The hotel bar was very small and the bar man very loud! The food in the bar and the restaurant was not great. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. In all hotels I have been in they have free papers for customers but not at Yeats, I was told quite abruptly that they had to be bought. We booked with another couple who received a seasonal gift in their room and we did not. The spa which is separate from the leisure centre was excellent, the staff, equipment, and treatments were of a very high quality. If anyone else is thinking of going to Rosses Point, there are B&B's close by or the Raddison and you can still enjoy the location as it's only a few minutes away by car. You can also still book treatments in the spa if you don't stay at the hotel.

What a dive. We checked in 3pm and checked out at 3.10pm. The rooms and hotel are very dated. The beds need to be replaced, not a clean hotel at all. No atmosphere and the receptionist was very unwelcoming. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.I would give hotel a 2rating

We really enjoyed out night in Yeats Country Hotel. Dinner was just ok but could be a lot better. My sister got the salmon and it was sitting on a bed of what looked and tasted like the contents of a jar of Dolmio sauce. Not very nice and not acceptable as we paid € 30.00 person for the dinner excluding the wine. The breakfast buffet was great. We stayed in a triple room and it had all we needed for the one night apart from shampoo because the combination of body wash and shampoo just do not work. I

just back from a lovely stay at this hotel. didn't expect much after reading some bad reviews but we were pleasantly surprised with our family room. it was bright clean and spacious with a lovely view of the sea. reception area needs a makeover but we liked the old world feel to the lounge area. bar food was ok. one evening meal was included in our package in the restaurant. often in hotels with this offer the choice is very limited and you dont feel like you are getting a 'proper' meal. but i have to say it did not feel like this at all. varied menu and we enjoyed our meals very much. Eros spa on 3rd floor is really lovely. the seaweed bath and massage were great. Beach is a few minutes walk from hotel. Sligo town is just a short drive away. Overall it was a nice little break away and great value.

i found the hotel had went down hill as i had stayed there before about 7 years ago . There were plenty of staff who were very helpfull . the dinner menu was very basic more like a lunch menu but food overall though good was not very exciting . The hotel could do with a good make over but rooms were clean and comfortable . The hotel is located very close to sea and 7km from sligo best of both worlds .

We had a nice family break here with three small kids. Our family room was huge which was great but looks a little dated. We had a lovely view with a nice window ledge that you could sit on. The dinner included in our package was fine, the wine list is not extensive and there was no half bottles or prosecco by the glass. The breakfast fry was cold so we didn't have it the second day and the continental breakfast could have had more choices. The leisure centre was fab the kids had a great time in it and the temperature of the water was lovely

On awhole i enjoyed the stay in this hotel. However, the housekeeping group entered our room 3 times before 9am which was a bit ridiculous. The night porter wasn't very helpful either. I also think the rooms could do with a facelift. The food was lovely and the restaurant staff and spa staff were lovely.

Lovely stay at this hotel. Stayed in Family Room with our 2 year old son. Although basic it was clean and quiet. Pool was loved very much by my son. The beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach which was helped immensely by the fact the weather was amazing. We stayed B&B + 2 Evening Meals and food was good. Not super fancy but good portions and the staff in the restaurant were amazingly friendly and made a fuss of our son each time they saw him. Overall a lovely relaxing stay and we will certainly return again. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

the whole hotel needs a complete overhaul and a clean up. the room was grubby, outdated and full of spider webs. the curtain rail was even coming off the wall. the food was absolutely terrible and lacked seasoning. there was very little to do as everything was closed up for the season which is ridiculous as most holiday places dont close until halloween. the pool was the only good thing about the holiday it was so disappointing and i would of been disgusted if i had paid full price for this hotel and i wont be recommending it to anyone.

Very disappointing weekend. The last time for sitting down to dinner is eight o'clock, We lost out on the first evening meal as we arrived at 20h45. The bed was so soft that I initially thought it was a waterbed. Woke up with a back ache. Thought we would go soothe it in the jacuzzi, only to find that the jacuzzi was out of order. We opted to have desert with our only evening meal we had, and had to fork out €26 for two simple deserts. I tried to ring the hotel to resolve the cost of the desert, but more than 24 hrs later and they are yet to ring me. They cannot be serious about customer service if this is the way they handle customer complaints.

rosses point is a really lovely village and a great place to visit central for sligo town bundoran and lough key and the beach more or less on your doorstep.hotel quite dated but it has a nice pool and fairly good kids club the food was only ok and that might even be a bit generous . was charged 5eur extra per child at breakfast and 9eur at dinner on check out because we were on a package deal would have had no problem with this if the food was good but the kids pizza to be fair was crap. all in all dont think id go back

Sallyboat scored 2 / 5 on 25/07/2013

Quite dated Hotel, in need of refurbishing. Well located, with beach nearby, good leisure centre. The food is not as good as its sister hotel in Bundoran. We had a very relaxiing stay nonetheless.

The hotel and decor are very dated and in bad need of refurbishment. We had a family room which again was dated but clean. The food in the hotel bar wasn't the best however, breakfast was lovely with a good variety to choose from. I found the majority of staff friendly and helpful however there were a few who couldn't be bothered!!! The swimming pool was great and lovely and warm. The views from the hotel are fab and the surrounding area is amazing. I wouldn't book the Yeats again until it has been updated and refurbished.

The hotel was a bit grotty. Reception area has dirty, worn, ill fitted carpet. The corridor our bedroom was on smelt of damp, luckily the room inside didn't it was quite pleasant and clean. The food was only alright nothing fab. Staff not very friendly but did their job. Lack of tourist information in reception and hotel room - i.e. a map with attractions in the area would be nice. The area is fabulous though!

First impressions of Yeats Country Hotel & Spa as you enter the hotel are that the reception area and the hallway down to the lift are very dated, dark and the carpet is rather dirty. Rooms are basic but clean. Bathroom needs a little shelf or something that one can put their soap bags on, we had to put ours on the floor. Also there was no safe in the bedroom so we had to lock our valuables in our car before going for a swim in the pool because the swimming pool changing rooms have no locks on the lockers and only 1 hairdryer working in the Ladies Changing Room. When going to the swimming pool we had to walk down a corridor where the floor was very uneven and the carpets were in need of deep cleaning. The Spa had a wonderful relaxing atmosphere but unfortunately the white material on the ceiling of relaxation room was positively grey especially just above the door. Having said all that the breakfast was great, the staff were absolutely wonderful, always cheery and smiling and happy to oblige. The hotel has the most amazing, breathtaking views of the surrounding area and because of the staff, food and views we would be happy to go back again.

Two couples (ages 50+) spent the weekend at Yeats Country Hotel & Spa. We didn't find the staff overly friendly and we had no electricity for the best part of the afternoon , when we complained there didn't seem to be any urgency about getting it sorted. The evening meal was alright but the desert was awful and when we complained about this they took it off our bill which was fair enough. Breakfast was good and there was plenty to choose from. The location is lovely and the fact it is on a golf course is a bonus. Not sure I would be rushing back but we had an enjoyable enough stay !

We stayed at the Yeats Hotel and Spa for two nights with our three children 7,6 and 2 in June 2013. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. I found the décor to be very dated, but it was clean and tidy, the rooms were very spacious for our family, my only complaint about the room was that there was not blackout blinds and my 2 year old did not sleep well due to the light streaming into the room. The breakfast was lovely the staff very helpful and accommodating. The leisure centre was ok, again dated, no where to secure your belongings, the travel cot to hold the 2 year old while I changed was broken. My husband stated that the men's changing room was dirty. I am not sure if we would in fact stay there again, due to the leisure centre only.

I would have to say my husband and I along with my parents had a very enjoyable stay at Yeats Country Hotel. The staff were very friendly and effecient. The carpet at reception could do with cleaning (minor complaint) but other than that, the food was excellent, the rooms were basic but clean and my parents had a great night dancing on the Sunday night in the bar. Will return especiallyfor the lovely scenery in the area.

This was my third time staying in this hotel (this time with the kids). The hotel is your basic 3 star family hotel and value for money overall but found their bar food menu not of a good standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful. What it has going for it is it's location, you have a beautiful beach close by and a golf course (if you are a golfer, which I am not) and the bars and restaurants close by are excellent. It also has a great leisure centre and swimming pool which the kids loved. So all in all I would recommend this hotel for a short cheap break with your family.

The hotel is very dated, particularly the lobby and hallway area by the lift. Rooms are basic but clean. The Spa however, is very plush and well kept. Food is very good, and staff are very friendly. All in all we could not fault the place, but the decor is quite off putting on arrival.

I stayed in the Yeats Hotel last weekend and found it to be a very strange experience. When we arrived I gave my surname and the receptionist then said 'Patricia' as if she had been waiting on me. Very sinister! The reception area is like something from the dark ages, axminster carpet and ancient furnishings. The guests were struggling to read it was so dark. There was a musty smell near the lift area. The bedroom was big but it was like a step back in time. I would describe it as 'RED'. The television was like one you would find in a skip. The view to the front of the hotel was a carpark and beyond this was an run down tennis court and basket ball court, almost blocking the sea view. The triple room had a single bed, double bed and a camp bed (without proper bedlinen). On a positive note the breakfast was very tasty and the entertainment in the hotel was great for oldtimers. Overall though I couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. It's in bad need of re-decoration. It's a great pity as the location is lovely. Most of all the website is misleading.

Our family consisted of 4 adults and 3 children who are under the age of 9. We were allocated two family rooms across the corridor from each other. The rooms were spacious, bright, airy and had great facilities. The children were delighted with the Kids Club and Leisure Centre. The hotel's location was convenient to the Golf Club and beach. In the bar food was serverd all day and late into the evening and the restaurant had three sittings for dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Yeats Country Hotel and Spa. It deserves it's 3 star rating and I would highly recommend this hotel to families with children.

Our stay, although brief, was excellent. We commented to each other about the bed. It was the softest, most comfortable bed we've slept in for a long time, without being so soft to affect our backs. My Husband is walking disabled and found the long walk from the Dining Room to the Lift a bit far, but he managed, and was delighted with the service we got from all the Staff. Hopefully we will be back as we are both Pensioners and have a bit of time on our hands. Star Rating: 4 Mary & Finian Englishby, Milford Cottage, Chapelands, Athboy, Co. Meath.

Booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my daughter....we were so disappointed to say the least! Arrived to find we could not check in until 3pm...eventually checked in to find a very dated room, which was not as clean as I would have expected or wanted, there were no towels in the bathroom, the tv didn't work-when I mentioned this to a male member of reception staff he was quite defensive, almost implying that I was not able to work the tv!! The pool was not very clean or hygenic...one could feel hairs on our hands whilst swimming and the general area was certainly not the calming, clean atmosphere one would expect in a spa...especially one that was "part-funded by IFI". we decided to shower, post swim in our room only to find the water was barely warm, another point I took up with the man at reception,he assured me the water SHOULD be warm....that's what I thought too! Food was ok...not great considering the price and service seemed hap-hazzard to say the least. On check-out no-one questioned my opinions until the money had exchanged hands...at this point I offered my opinion on the hotel, pointing out all of the above and informing them that I would never be back to this establishment and would inform family and friends of the same. One star rating given but only because the no star option was not available.

It was not bad at all. however there was one thing i thought should have been different; e.g you had to go out to a different floor with a key to use an ironing board which was on a timer, quite inconvenient; i must say the service of the staff and attitude was very good. the location of the hotel is fab with a beach very nearby and yacht club and golf course all very close and looke as though the hotel had an entire area to itself! the scenery was superb.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Yeats Country Hotel in Rosses Point in Sligo which we booked through Lidlbreaks.ie. We thought it was excellent value for money. The Hotel is in a beautiful location, 5 minutes stroll to the beach and our room overlooked the sea. The Hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and very nice. The food was lovely. Plenty of nice places to visit in the surrounding areas for example Glencar Waterfall, Lough Gill, Strand Hill, Drumcliffe and Sligo City is only a short distance by bus which stops outside the Hotel. The Village was also only a short walk from the Hotel which had 3 lovely pubs. We look forward to our next visit to the Yeats Country Hotel.

had a lovley stay. We had room on 4th floor, very bright and airy and large with view of sea. Room clean and crisp white sheets. Blankets instead of duvets, my only dislike. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good for me but if you require a broad range of foods like fruit, yogurts, cheeses etc this is not the breakfast for you. Spa facilities were excellent and weekend special rates made it all the more affordable. Hotel has a comfortable feel and plenty of seating downstairs. Decor and furniture is not your modern, high spec design of other hotels but i prefer 'the used look' Location is fantastic being 5 minutes walk from a beautiful sandy beach. Village 5 minutes walking with a few restaurents and of course Harry's pub. Also for those who do not want to drive once the car is parked, the bus to sligo stops outside the hotel a couple of times per day. Timetable available in the hotel. Great service. Will definately be back. This was great value for money and might even stay three nights next time as the rates are even cheaper per night

We had two treatments in the Spa which was a lovely expecience and highly recommendable. Overall a friendly and pleasant evening. I hane availed of the Lidl Breaks before and I have recommended Lidl Breaks to a lot of my friends because people can get away for one night but it is not always convenient to go for two nights, which a lot of Hotel Breaks advertise. At present I am planning our next night away.

This was our second stay this year in The Yeats County. We had a different room but it was still up to a good standard. There were fewer staff as it was a quiet week but they were still very friendly and helpful. We tried the Bar food and it was so good we went back for more. The long opening hours in the leisure centre were a big bonus as the weather was foul and too rough for the beach. The local sceanery is spectacular and there's good array of tourist information iavailable at Reception. We had a very relaxing stay. The only criticism is the small maintainence issues which need to be dealt with before high season, ie repairs to door locks and curtain hooks. We'll be back.

Just had the most relaxing few days in this hotel. The Spa treatment was excelent. The food was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, well decorated, very clean and had beautiful views of the sea and golf course. There was plenty of activities locally and there was entertainment at night. The Leisure centre was good with one exception and that was that the locks were broken on some of the shower doors. Overall we had a great time and would definitely visit this hotel again and would recommend it to our friends.

It was a nice location just ten mins drive from town, the hotel reception was nice and modern looking but there was a musty smell. When we landed we were told check in time wasnt until three o clock by a very unplesant staff member. When we returned to get checked into our suite there was a different (much nicer) lady at front desk. We were placed in a family room on ground floor which was average and clean. Kids loved the pool area etc. We went for dinner in hotel that evening and was surprised to find it was a very basic sausage/nuggets/fish fingers and chips menu. Enjoyed our stay but would not return to this hotel. In serious need of a full makeover

My wife and stayed for the weekend on a bed and breakfast basis. It was either our 5th or 6th time staying there and we love it. The location is excellent, money can't buy it, minutes from the beach, great walks, pubs & golf course on our doorstep, 10 Mins from Sligo town, geat drives, etc etc etc. On the downside, the hotel is a bit dated and shabby (even though they have started to do it up), the breakfast is quite poor - even a B&B is better. There is only one tiny radiator in each room, so if its really cold outside you could be cold. Prices are great, value for money is superb and I would highly recommend it, just don't expect the Ritz treatment. I could give the hotel management advice on how to improve it

What makes Yeates Country Hotel special is the staff.. We have stayed with them four times already this year.... Nothing is too much bother and we always get a warm welcome. Any meal we have had wheather or not dinner or breakfast was second to none. The beach is only 5mins. away and is just fab. I would highly recommend this Hotel for families. We can't wait to go back again. Many thanks to Lidl /Yeats Hotel for running such fantastic offer.

I would rate this hotel an 8 of 10. The hotel is a little bit old fashioned, Staff are quite friendly especially the bar staff. The hotel room itself was quite comfortable, however the lack of air conditioning was a problem at night as the windows only open a tiny bit. Also there was no remote control available for the TV eventhough there was a note in the room from management saying that for a refundable fee you could get one at reception, when we wendt to reception they had no knowledge of this at all. Food was basic but enjoyable. All in all we had a really good stay at the they Yeats country hotel and think that it was good value for the cost. I would definately go back there.

Pros: The views are stunning, located beside the lovely village of Rosses Point and close to Sligo. Good value for our one night stay. Lovely staff. Nice dinner and breakfast. Good size rooms. Cons: Rather cheap and shabby decor in the rooms. Check-in was a little chaotic - no record of the Lidl booking, though that was sorted out.

Family of 5, we stayed here in April. The hotel was beautifully situated, although the hotel's decor was basic enough. Meal's were not great, but the fact that the hotel had a kids club made up for this. The hotel staff were friendly and the beach was only walking distance away. The family room's are spacious and can cater for 3kids in room. If you have kids with you, this hotel would be ideal, (just don't expect much from the food or interior of hotel) I would consider a return for a cheap family break
