Nice location. Good bar and reception area. Very pleasant waiting staff and food was lovely. Great varied menu. Room was roomy and well decorated. Quiet on the first night. We had to be moved on our second night due to the room next door leaving on the bathroom fan. Great staff, top marks to the night porter. WEll recommended. Some nice bog walks very close to the hotel on old railway routes.

Had a one night stay in hotel . The room was very nice and large . Dinner was just fab. I had stake [extra 3 euros] as we had BB/D as I am on a diet I got a salad to die for, it was so fresh. The serves at diner was 10 out of 10 . I wish I knew her name she had blond hair tied up and glasses!!!! Hotel also close to town. With lots of bars.

The Abbeyleix Manor was an excellent hotel. The rooms were spacious and tidy, the food excellent and the staff extremely polite and helpful at all times. We will definitely go back.

We were a party of five and meet on a regular basis. We usually have a get together in the city but this means that we clock watch as we use public transport to get home and we can't drink. So we decided to avail of the Lidl breaks and chose the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel. We weren't disappointed! It was easy to access. It was very comfortable. We booked three rooms that were very spacious and clean. The meal was very good and the staff were excellent. We adjourned to the foyer and sat in comfort and had a few drinks. We got up late the following morning and after a good breakfast we headed for home. And yes, we will be back!

Stayed for a weekend with my partner, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the hotel itself was lovely and quiet and very well situated for the town and bog walks. The food in the hotel was very nice with generous portions. The only negative I can give is the bed was a little hard. Overall our stay was relaxing and very pleasant. Thanks very much.

I found the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel very pleasant. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Due to a flight delay we had to change our reservation to the following night and there was absolutely no problem doing so. The lounge is very comfortable as are the bedrooms. The food is lovely. My son left €50 in a drawer which housekeeping found and it was forwarded by post - it is nice to see such honesty. There is a great bog walk adjacent to the hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Staff are extremely friendly and efficient. There was lots of space in the room and it was clean and tidy. Dinner was included with the room, the food was lovely, the portion sizes were huge and they catered for coeliacs which was great. I would stay in the hotel again.

Everything about the place was fabulous. staff were great ,food too. Greg even brought me pillows at 1 o clock in the morning with a smile. The only draw back was the reception was unmanned a lot of the time, which left guests standing around in the lobby. Mary.(Wicklow.)

We stayed here in April for one night. First impressions were very good this is a lovely bright hotel on the main street of Abbyleix. The check in was quick and easy, very nice girl on reception. The room was lovely lots of space and a big bathroom. We had dinner in the hotel and it was fantastic, Veg soup for starters and steak for main and I have to say it was probably the best steak I have ever had, cooked to perfection with onions, tomatoes and mushrooms. The staff in the restaurant / bar where brilliant, polite, fast and always smiling they made us feel very welcome. The only down side to the hotel I found was they didn’t really know much about the local area, I love to do a bit of fishing and asked a few members of staff the best places to go but none of them knew anywhere to go even though there is a fishery not too far away. Tip this hotel allows families so if you’re looking for a quite break it might not be for you.

We stayed in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel 4 adults on Saturday .we had a lovely time. We had evening meal and BB.it was very reasonable. Food was lovely and served very well. lovely staff and very friendly. There was music and a singer in the bar and cocktails sausages were served to every table .There was a raffle and we won a bottle of wine. We think the hotel reception would give a better impression if they covered the old sofas or got new ones and changed the curtains in the reception area. There is a nice cosy sitting room feel to the area with the fire sending out a warm glow. There was a smell of stale cooking in the bar area but went when they stopped serving the food in the afternoon. We had no plug to have a bath we think this could be fixed .We found the bedrooms very comfortable and the bathroom was nicely tiled. Sorting these little things would make a great difference to the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for one night on Sunday. The room was big but could do with a make over. The bed was very comfortable. The TV didn't work, there seemed to be some lock on it. As I was only there for 1 night it didn't bother me but I informed the receptionist when I was leaving.I had a B&B and dinner meal. The food was delicious and substantial and the breakfast was the same. There was no one on Reception when I arrived but I wasn't waiting too long and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay her again

I stayed overnight on a lidl break, B & B with evening meal, with friends. The hotel, staff and food were first class. There is an excellent marked loop walk across the road from the hotel. I would certainly book with lidl breaks again - excellent value for money.

on staying in the manor hotel for one Saturday night i found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating. the fire alarm went off late twice before 1.30am which would have woken me had i been asleep.the corridor got noisy after 2am when bar music ended.a bus outside the front of the room added to the noise until 3-4am when all festivities must have ended adding to the fact of the main road traffic noise being so close to the rooms.found a piece of broken glass in the sink when i went to brush my teeth and someones makeup brush on the bedroom floor.mirror dirty.as if that wasnt enough to keep me awake mr grey himself started in the room next door and that went on like he overdosed on viagra. reckon i had an hours sleep and thats being generous.the shower next morning made up for it all as it was very strong and nice and hot but then i went to breakfast which cereal wise was basic and the fry must have been made at 7am because it was pretty rubbery by 9.30am. some of the chairs in the bar could do with being reupholstered.i had to leave to attend a funeral an hour before checkout and asked could i leave my packing till after the funeral and was given a later checkout time without any bother. i recommend to ask for a room to the rear of the hotel if sleep is required on your stay: )

On my visit to the manor this time round I found it different, I was left waiting for ten minutes on Sat 20th October for a receptionist and when she did come to the desk, she made no apology for keeping me and my party waiting, just very matter a fact about me signing the sheet and taking my swipe card, she did not inform us of breakfast times or wished us a nice stay at the hotel. The bar staff were lovely as the time before, when we went back to our room 121 we found it very cold, im not so sure i will return, on checking out, while the girl was plesant she did not ask did we enjoy our stay so i made no complaint.

I was ibn the Manor once before with a few friends and this time i booked with lidl for seven of a party and i found it very reasonable and from the time we entered the hotel each and every one of the staff were exceptionally nice, i just have to mention a john who laid a tanle for us on the evening and served to a manner befitting of a five star hotel, we will certailny be returning to this hotel as we were delighted with all the services it provided.

My husband and I stayed for DBB for one night, a birthday treat ! We had a lovely room and the bed very comfortable. The evening meal was very good with very generous helpings. The breakfast was equally good. The staff very pleasant. Because our room was quite warm from sunshine, when we enquired about how to open the window (safety lock), we were offered a fan. We were very happy with the Abbeyleix and would definitely return.

Spent a night in Manor Hotel recently and I must say I was very happy with it. We were four old friends catching up and the location was ideal for all our travels. Accommodation was great, rooms nice and clean if a little too hot but that was due to our unexpected heatwave. Bar staff were very helpful and friendly. Hope to vist again!

Enjoyed our stay for two nights with free dinner. Package was good value. Rooms were good hotel standard, Diniing room (lacks atmosphere) but good food and road front location more like a motel. Overall good place and would recommend it.

We stayed in the abbeyleix manor hotel for one night recently hotel staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble only thing on the night we were stayed - there was a carvery which was self-service and was there since 5pm - so if you ate at 8-9 it was there for a while there was no other food available except carvery.
