Exceptionally friendly staff, very cosy atmosphere with a proper fire. Both Dinner and Breakfast were of a high standard. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely quaint hotel, staff very friendly. The atmosphere was very welcoming, with a lovely open fire in the lounge and the food in the restaurant was fantastic and great value. The breakfast the next morning was really lovely with home bread breads and jams. The grounds are really well planned and well kept, I would really recommend this hotel for a quiet break.

I was very dissappointed with my stay at the Station House Hotel. After booking our room on-line I was contacted by the hotel and asked if I would mind taking a room away from the main hotel. I presumed this would be within the grounds of the hotel but it turned out to be a room in a residential house in a housing estate across the road from the hotel grounds.(we had to drive back to it) The room was not of hotel standard, clean and comfortable but thats all. I felt as if I was staying in a neighbours house. But nevertheless settled in only to be awakened at 4.15 AM by drunken and obnoxious guests arriving home from a wedding reception at the hotel, shouting and using offensive language and trying to use their key in our door. I felt alarmed by this and then when they eventually found there own room I was worried they might start a fire as they were smoking ( we could smell this in our room. )The breakfast was good.... thats the only positive thing I could say about our stay and I would advise anyone staying there to check first where their room is and if there's a wedding on.
