We found the hotel very comfortable and the food was good. Also the staff were helpful. However, we are currently disputing an additional charge of €20.00 which was added to our account without any explanation. Basically, on checking in we informed staff at the check- in that we would be eating with a group in the hotel. When we checked out on Sunday we were presented with a bill for € 107.80, (as distinct from € 87.80). I informed the desk that this was incorrect. However, they assured me that this amount would not be put through our account until the matter was resolved. However, when my husband contacted the bank on Monday, we were informed that this amount, (€107.80) had in fact been put through for payment without our authorisation. I rang the hotel several times since and finally this evening spoke with a gentleman, Adam, who informed me that the meal we were served was more expensive than the meal included on the Lidl break and that, thereby, we incurred an additional charge of € 20.00. However, we were not informed by the hotel at any stage that we would incur an additional charge. If we had been aware that we would incur an additional charge, we would not have eaten with the group. While Adam agreed that we should have been informed of this additional charge at check in, he does not feel obliged to refund the additional charge of € 20.00. Our stay, therefore, at the Riverside Park Hotel, was very disappointing. We regularly use Lidl hotel breaks and have found them very satisfactory and very good value and have recommended them to our friends. Please advise

On our arrival we were met by an extremely helpful member of staff and we found that all the staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were very clean and tidy and and spacious. We had a family room but found out later that we could have had, an interconnecting room which would have suited us better but, on the whole we had a very enjoyable stay and we would return again. Thanks a mill.

Top class manager breakfast very good,dinner fair. Hotel needs more cleaning staff as hotel needs a good dusting and polishing.A full time person is needed on reception .Nice hotel but run on a few staff

The hotel is very nicely situated, and the staff very friendly. What bothered me was the reservation from your website did not reach the hotel, so they were unaware of our arrival. This made them give us the special needs room, which was fine except for the uncomfortable bathroom. All in all, the hotel deserves 4/5 stars, but the reservation through your website... 1 star.

Very nice hotel and great location, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Has everything you need in one no need to go outside the hotel. Food was very nice and prices not over the top. Would recommend to everyone.

We had a really lovely time at the Riverside Hotel Macroom .The staff are very helpful and the service excellent . The food is a treat to enjoy presented beautifully. I would recommend this hotel for its location between Cork and Kerry and friendliness.
