Great location. Everything else needs a lot of work.
This is a very central hotel and close to all amenities. It is an old hotel, so don't expect luxury. We were very happy with our stay, as the rate on bargain breaks was so reasonable. The only complaint was that the breakfast was cold. I,m sure this could easily be remedied.
Great location, very nice double room, and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was fine, only a small buffet, but the staff were very friendly.
Good points...nice receptionist, great location near good restaurants/pubs/shops,warm rooms. Not so good points....very shabby exterior, hotel looks closed down as their nightclub faces the main pathway (Break for the Border),& all front windows are in a neglected state.Courtyard entrance just as neglected but could be very nice with a little bit of imagination.WiFi only on 1st floor foyer, which is also a very sad place! Bedrooms are in need of updating, torn curtains, worn carpets, broken fixtures in bathroom,20yr.old TV with sound control broken ,& basically it all needed attention & a good hoovering. We were staying in a room which also had an interconnecting door to another room, which seemed to be occupied by a very active couple.Unfortunately,I was sharing with my teenage daughter, so as TV controls were not obliging,I resorted to flushing the loo a few times!!! Not much hotel could do about that but the walls were certainly paper thin! Bar & restaurant in hotel closed during week, (they do not state this) & only opens at weekends.Breakfast ok,... as we were 5 mins late coming down ,most food was gone, but a very nice chef did oblige us. Basically the Grafton Capital is a very tired hotel, typical of these present times but with a little tender care & cash ,could be a little gem given its location & modest size.
The best thing about the Grafton Capital is it's location - Grafton St. and St. Georges Arcade are just minutes walk. The room was walm and clean but apart from the television I would think the last time it was updated was probably the 80's - it reminded me of my old student flat. The shower curtain had mildew and needs replacing immediately. The choice at breakfast was very basic but the Irish breakfast was tasty and the staff in the restaurant area were incredibly friendly. I was in Dublin for a night out with old friends so the hotel suited me perfectly, however I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic or family weekend away.
I have to say from out side it was lovely but very run down inside but for the price it was worth it it could just do with a make over it was very clean and staff were lovely I also have to say lidi breaks have the best deals I book through ye all the time
Great hotel, great location..!
I would have no hesitation staying here again great location lovely staff thumbs up for the Grafton Capital
very good handy for shopping
Really fantastic location. Dublin staff very friendly. Foreign staff very UNFRIENDLY!
Great location with good sized room and king bed. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
Lovely staff, central to everything, needs a little updating otherwise great stay
Not the most modern of hotels. Even though the room was clean and spacious enough it could do with some updating. Breakfast unremarkable. The location of the hotel is excellent. Overall we were happy with our one night stay.
Very central, great staff, safe and little noise, breakfast good. Will stay in this Hotel next time were in Dublin.
Fantastic, central, friendly, would highly recommend. Am booking a return visit.
Excellent location, rooms could do with a little up dating out from that, I would stay again.
